Savings estimate = credits × $475, DSU's undergraduate rate of $1,425 per 3-credit course (2026-2027 Academic Catalog). Under the articulation agreement DSU does not charge tuition for the UPI Study courses it recognizes as credit. Credit awards are subject to DSU's registrar review and policy.
Advanced Social Psychology studies how people think about, influence, and relate to one another in social settings. It looks at topics such as attitudes, persuasion, prejudice, conformity, identity, and group behavior, with an emphasis on how these processes shape everyday actions and decisions.
Advanced Social Psychology (Psychology 310, 3 credits) is a self-paced online course built on video lessons, quizzes, assignments, and a final exam. Each of the four components counts for 25% of the grade: attendance, quizzes, assignments, and the final exam. Once you pass, the completed course appears on your transcript, and Dunlap-Stone University recognizes it as its named equivalent, PSY-301 – Social Psychology.
The course covers attitudes, persuasion, prejudice, conformity, identity, and group behavior, and it teaches you to apply social cognition and group dynamics theories to real situations. Those skills carry into hiring, team management, marketing, and client work, which makes the credit useful in Associate of Arts: Business Administration and Bachelor of Business Administration programs at DSU. For students in the Bachelor of Arts: Psychology, the same credit adds a directly relevant upper-level foundation.
After you complete the course, your transcript is sent to Dunlap-Stone University. DSU's registrar then applies the credit as PSY-301 – Social Psychology, which is the strongest form of transfer recognition the university offers. In your degree plan, that means the requirement is met by a specific catalog course rather than a general elective slot. Transfer credit at DSU is capped at 90 credits, or 75% of a degree, so plan your remaining coursework with that ceiling in mind.
This course suits working adults, degree-finishers, career changers, and cost-conscious students who want a recognized psychology credit without paying DSU's $475 per-credit rate for it. Because the course maps to PSY-301 – Social Psychology, it arrives as a named equivalency rather than a general placeholder. Keep in mind that transfer is capped at 90 credits (75%), so students who have already used that allowance elsewhere will gain nothing from it. It is not a good fit for anyone who needs a DSU-specific course or who expects this credit to satisfy a requirement outside the programs and categories listed.
Dunlap-Stone University recognizes UPI Study courses for credit in its undergraduate degrees under the signed articulation agreement. Each course below has the DSU course, general education category or elective credit Appendix 1 assigns it.
Transfer credits are never guaranteed. Students must be enrolled at DSU in good standing and meet course and program requirements. DSU is solely responsible for how it recognizes UPI Study courses.
