The Opportunity

A Ready-Made Pipeline of
Motivated Transfer Students.

These aren't prospective students you have to attract from scratch. They've already done the hard work — completed college-level coursework, earned credits, and are now looking for the right university to continue their degree. You just have to open the door.

100,000+
Students Already in the Pipeline
Over 100,000 students have enrolled in UPI Study courses worldwide. Thousands have completed credits and are actively searching for a university right now — browsing our cooperating universities directory, talking to advisors, ready to apply.
70+
College-Level Courses Already Completed
These students haven't just expressed interest in higher education — they've demonstrated it by completing rigorous, ACE and NCCRS-evaluated college-level coursework. They arrive at your admissions office pre-credentialed and academically committed.
60
Max Transferable Credits Per Student
Students can transfer up to 60 credits — the equivalent of two full years. That means they arrive at your institution as Sophomores or Juniors, ready to complete Years 3 and 4. Your enrollment fills faster. Their time to degree is shorter.
$0
Cost to Your Institution
Partnering with UPI Study is completely free. No contracts, no fees, no obligations beyond agreeing to recognize ACE and NCCRS-recommended credits — a policy your institution likely already has in place. You just need to tell us you're in.
🎓
Right now, UPI Study students are searching for your college in our directory.
Every week, thousands of UPI Study students browse our cooperating universities list looking for a place to transfer. If your institution isn't listed, they can't find you. Partnering takes one email — and they'll start seeing your name immediately.
Why Partner With UPI Study

Six Compelling Reasons
to Say Yes.

Beyond the obvious enrollment upside, here's what accepting UPI Study credits actually does for your institution.

📈
Instant Enrollment Pipeline — No Recruiting Cost
You spend thousands of dollars per enrolled student on traditional recruiting. UPI Study students come to you pre-motivated, pre-credentialed, and already looking for your institution. The pipeline is built. You just have to accept them.
🌍
Reach a Demographic You're Currently Missing
UPI Study's student community includes working adults, immigrants, refugees, international students, and career changers — non-traditional learners who are underserved by conventional recruiting. This is a demographic with high degree completion motivation and real financial need for a faster path.
🎓
Higher Graduation Rates, Shorter Time to Degree
Students who transfer with 30–60 credits are statistically more likely to complete their degree. They've already proven academic commitment. They arrive in Year 2 or Year 3, meaning your institution's graduation metrics improve alongside their outcomes.
📣
Free Promotion to 100,000+ Students
Partner colleges are featured in UPI Study's weekly newsletters sent to the entire student community, promoted across our social channels, and listed prominently in the cooperating universities directory that students actively browse before applying. This is marketing reach you don't have to pay for.
You Already Have the Policy — Just Apply It
If your institution already accepts ACE or NCCRS credit recommendations — and 3,000+ US colleges do — then accepting UPI Study credits requires no new policy. It's simply applying your existing transfer credit evaluation process to a new group of students. No bureaucratic heavy lifting required.
💰
Students Who Can Afford to Finish
One of the biggest drivers of student dropout is cost. UPI Study students have already dramatically reduced their tuition burden by completing Years 1–2 affordably. They arrive at your institution in a stronger financial position, making them more likely to complete — and pay tuition for — Years 3 and 4.

Credit Standards

The Same Standards Your
Institution Already Uses.

UPI Study credits carry ACE and NCCRS recommendations — the exact same evaluation frameworks used by 3,000+ colleges and universities nationwide to award transfer credit. This is not a new standard. It's the one you already know.

✓ Nationally Recognized
American Council on Education (ACE)
ACE represents 1,700+ degree-granting institutions and operates the most widely recognized credit recommendation service for non-traditional learning in the US. Their evaluations are conducted by college faculty panels and are listed in the national ACE CREDIT directory that your registrar's office can access directly.
✓ NY Board of Regents
National College Credit Recommendation Service (NCCRS)
NCCRS was established in 1973 by the New York State Board of Regents to evaluate college-level learning acquired outside traditional institutions. Their credit recommendations are recognized by over 1,500 cooperating colleges and universities and are listed in the CCRS Online directory.

If your institution has a policy of accepting ACE or NCCRS credit recommendations — and over 3,000 US institutions do — you are already set up to accept UPI Study student transcripts. No new policy required. Simply send us an email confirming your acceptance, and we'll handle the rest.

Useful Resources for Your Registrar Office

The CAEL study found that adult students with prior learning credits are significantly more likely to graduate than those without. Students with PLA credits also graduate faster and with less debt — a win for your institution's completion metrics.

FAQ

Questions from Admissions
& Registrar Offices.

What exactly are ACE and NCCRS credit recommendations?
ACE (American Council on Education) and NCCRS (National College Credit Recommendation Service, a program of the New York State Board of Regents) are the two nationally recognized bodies that evaluate college-level learning acquired outside traditional classroom settings. They use panels of college faculty to assess course content, learning outcomes, and assessment rigor. Over 3,000 US colleges and universities already recognize these recommendations as valid bases for awarding transfer credit. UPI Study courses carry recommendations from both bodies, listed in the national ACE CREDIT and CCRS Online directories.
Do we need to create a new credit acceptance policy?
Almost certainly not. If your institution has any existing policy for accepting ACE or NCCRS credit recommendations — which the vast majority of US colleges do — no new policy is needed. Accepting UPI Study credits simply means applying your existing ACE/NCCRS evaluation process to transcripts from UPI Study students. Your registrar's office handles it through normal channels.
How many students can we expect to receive?
This varies by institution type, location, program offerings, and how actively you promote your partnership with UPI Study. UPI Study has over 100,000 enrolled students, thousands of whom are actively seeking a university at any given time. The more visible you are in our directory and newsletters, the more student inquiries you receive. Partner institutions that actively communicate their UPI partnership see the strongest results.
What transcripts do students submit and how are they verified?
UPI Study students request an official academic transcript through the UPI Study platform, which documents their completed courses alongside the ACE and/or NCCRS credit recommendations. These transcripts follow standard academic documentation formats and can be submitted to your registrar's office for evaluation. For institutions that want additional verification, course details are also available in the national ACE CREDIT and CCRS Online directories.
Is there any cost or financial obligation for our institution?
None whatsoever. Partnering with UPI Study is completely free. There are no fees, no revenue sharing arrangements, no minimum enrollment quotas, and no contractual financial obligations. Your institution simply agrees to consider UPI Study transcripts through your existing ACE/NCCRS transfer credit evaluation process.
What kind of students does UPI Study produce?
UPI Study students are self-motivated adult learners who sought out college-level education independently and completed rigorous coursework on their own initiative. The community includes working professionals, immigrants, refugees, international students, career changers, and adult learners returning to education. Research consistently shows that transfer students with prior learning credits have higher degree completion rates than first-time freshmen, because they have already demonstrated the commitment and self-discipline required to succeed.
What does the promotion include exactly?
Partner colleges receive: (1) A listing in the UPI Study cooperating universities directory, which is browsed by 100,000+ students; (2) Featured placement in UPI Study's weekly email newsletter sent to the entire student community; (3) Promotion across UPI Study's social media channels (Instagram, LinkedIn) to students and education professionals; and (4) Ongoing visibility as UPI Study's student community continues to grow. All of this is provided at no cost to your institution.
