Savings estimate = credits × $475, DSU's undergraduate rate of $1,425 per 3-credit course (2026-2027 Academic Catalog). Under the articulation agreement DSU does not charge tuition for the UPI Study courses it recognizes as credit. Credit awards are subject to DSU's registrar review and policy.
Intro to Biology 2 is a second-semester biology course that studies how living things are built, how they function, and how they interact with each other and their environments. It covers microbes such as viruses, prokaryotes, protists, fungi, and prions, as well as plants and animals, with attention to body systems, evolution, and basic genetics. The course is a broad survey of life science for students who want a clearer understanding of organisms from the cellular level to whole-body function.
Intro to Biology 2 (Biology 200) is a 3-credit, self-paced online course. You work through video lessons, then complete quizzes and assignments, and finish with a final exam. Grades are weighted 20% quizzes, 30% assignments, and 50% final exam. When you pass, the course appears on your transcript as credit that Dunlap-Stone University recognizes as General Education Science.
The course covers evolution, genetic inheritance, ecological systems, and how organisms are built and function. Those topics give you a working vocabulary for reading research summaries, judging health or environmental claims, and weighing the ethics of biotechnology. At DSU, the credit counts toward general education in programs such as the Associate of Arts: Business Administration, the Bachelor of Business Administration, and the Bachelor of Arts: Psychology, so the science knowledge sits alongside your main coursework rather than replacing it.
After you finish Intro to Biology 2, your official transcript is sent to Dunlap-Stone University. DSU's registrar then applies the credit as General Education Science, based on the articulation agreement between DSU and UPI Study. This recognition means the course can satisfy a general-education science requirement in your DSU degree plan. Transfer credit is capped at 90 credits, or 75% of a degree, so the remaining credits must be earned at DSU.
This course suits working adults, students closing out a degree, career changers, and anyone trying to keep tuition low. At $475 per credit, a 3-credit course at DSU would cost $1,425 in tuition, so transferring it is a practical way to meet a science requirement. Because DSU accepts up to 90 credits (75%) in transfer, you still need to complete at least 25% of your degree at DSU. The course is not a good fit if you need a specific biology course for a major, since it counts as General Education Science rather than as a named DSU major course.
Dunlap-Stone University recognizes UPI Study courses for credit in its undergraduate degrees under the signed articulation agreement. Each course below has the DSU course, general education category or elective credit Appendix 1 assigns it.
Transfer credits are never guaranteed. Students must be enrolled at DSU in good standing and meet course and program requirements. DSU is solely responsible for how it recognizes UPI Study courses.
Enroll for $250 (or use a UPI Study subscription), finish in 28–30 days, and transfer 3 credits to Dunlap-Stone University.
