Savings estimate = credits × $475, DSU's undergraduate rate of $1,425 per 3-credit course (2026-2027 Academic Catalog). Under the articulation agreement DSU does not charge tuition for the UPI Study courses it recognizes as credit. Credit awards are subject to DSU's registrar review and policy.
Business Communication studies how people share information, make decisions, and work together in organizations. It covers written, spoken, digital, and interpersonal communication, with attention to how messages are shaped by audience, culture, roles, and workplace goals.
Business Communication is a self-paced online course built on video lessons, followed by quizzes, assignments, and a final exam. Each part carries equal weight: 25% Attendance, 25% Quizzes, 25% Assignments, and 25% Final Exam. Completing the course produces a transcript entry, and that entry is what Dunlap-Stone University (DSU) recognizes as BUS-118 – Business Writing.
The course builds skills in clear written and spoken messages, active listening, digital communication, and working through conflict in teams. These skills apply to nearly any role that involves reports, client contact, or coordinating with coworkers. At DSU, the credit can apply toward the Associate of Arts: Business Administration or the Bachelor of Business Administration through its BUS-118 equivalency. Students in the Bachelor of Arts: Psychology can also use it where Appendix 1 assigns it general education or elective credit.
After you finish the course, your transcript is sent to Dunlap-Stone University. DSU's registrar applies the credit as BUS-118 – Business Writing, a named equivalency tied to a specific catalog code. In practical terms, that means the course fills the BUS-118 requirement in your degree plan rather than counting as unassigned credit. DSU accepts up to 90 credits (75%) in transfer, so keep that ceiling in mind when planning the rest of your coursework.
This course suits people who want to move toward a DSU business degree at lower cost, including working adults who need to study around a job and career changers entering business. Because DSU recognizes it as a named equivalency, it fills a specific catalog course rather than acting as a general elective, though total transfer credit is capped at 90 credits (75%). It is not a good fit for students who need a fixed meeting schedule or who learn best with live instruction, since the course is self-paced and online.
Dunlap-Stone University recognizes UPI Study courses for credit in its undergraduate degrees under the signed articulation agreement. Each course below has the DSU course, general education category or elective credit Appendix 1 assigns it.
Transfer credits are never guaranteed. Students must be enrolled at DSU in good standing and meet course and program requirements. DSU is solely responsible for how it recognizes UPI Study courses.
Enroll for $250 (or use a UPI Study subscription), finish in 28–30 days, and transfer 3 credits to Dunlap-Stone University.
