Savings estimate = credits × $475, DSU's undergraduate rate of $1,425 per 3-credit course (2026-2027 Academic Catalog). Under the articulation agreement DSU does not charge tuition for the UPI Study courses it recognizes as credit. Credit awards are subject to DSU's registrar review and policy.
Foundations of Leadership is a course about how people guide teams, make decisions, and influence organizations. It introduces major leadership theories, leadership styles, and the relationship between leadership and management, with attention to communication, authority, and workplace decision-making.
Foundations of Leadership is a self-paced online course. You work through its video lessons, quizzes, assignment, and final exam on your own schedule. When you finish, UPI Study sends the transcript showing the credit to Dunlap-Stone University, and DSU recognizes that credit as MGT-135 – Introduction to Leadership.
The course covers how to guide teams, make decisions using both judgment and quantitative analysis, and resolve conflict inside an organization. At DSU, that material is recognized as MGT-135 – Introduction to Leadership, which can be applied toward the Associate of Arts: Business Administration and the Bachelor of Business Administration. Its communication and team-dynamics content may also be useful to students in the Bachelor of Arts: Psychology who are interested in how people behave in groups.
After you complete the course, UPI Study sends your transcript to Dunlap-Stone University, and the DSU registrar reviews it for transfer credit. Under the articulation agreement between DSU and UPI Study, Foundations of Leadership is applied as MGT-135 – Introduction to Leadership, a named course equivalency, which is the strongest form of transfer recognition DSU offers. That means the credit posts to your DSU record under a specific course code, so you can build it into your degree plan with confidence. Transfer credit at DSU is capped at 90 credits, or 75% of the degree.
This course suits working adults who supervise or lead people and want that training on a degree-linked transcript, degree-finishers who need a business-track course that transfers as a named equivalent, and cost-conscious students who would rather not pay DSU's $475 per-credit rate for coursework they have already completed. Because it maps specifically to MGT-135, it is a weaker choice for anyone who needs credit recognized under a different DSU course code. It is also not a substitute for the DSU coursework a student must still complete, since transfer credit is limited to 90 credits.
Dunlap-Stone University recognizes UPI Study courses for credit in its undergraduate degrees under the signed articulation agreement. Each course below has the DSU course, general education category or elective credit Appendix 1 assigns it.
Transfer credits are never guaranteed. Students must be enrolled at DSU in good standing and meet course and program requirements. DSU is solely responsible for how it recognizes UPI Study courses.
