Savings estimate = credits × $475, DSU's undergraduate rate of $1,425 per 3-credit course (2026-2027 Academic Catalog). Under the articulation agreement DSU does not charge tuition for the UPI Study courses it recognizes as credit. Credit awards are subject to DSU's registrar review and policy.
Healthcare Organization and Management is the study of how healthcare workplaces are structured and run. It looks at who does what in hospitals, clinics, medical offices, and other health settings, and how leaders make decisions about staffing, communication, planning, quality, and patient care. The course also covers the rules and systems that shape healthcare in the United States, including legal and ethical responsibilities.
Healthcare Organization and Management is a self-paced online course built around video lessons, quizzes, one assignment, and a final exam. Your grade is weighted 20% quizzes, 30% assignment, and 50% final exam, so the final exam carries the most weight and is worth planning around. When you complete the course, UPI Study issues the transcript credit, and Dunlap-Stone University recognizes that 3-credit course as a Business Elective.
The course covers how healthcare workplaces are staffed, communicated with, planned, and led, along with the legal and ethical duties that shape daily decisions. Those skills apply well beyond hospitals, since any organization that manages people, budgets, and quality faces similar questions. At DSU, the credit counts toward the elective requirements in the Associate of Arts: Business Administration, the Bachelor of Business Administration, and the Bachelor of Arts: Psychology, where organizational behavior and communication topics fit naturally alongside your required coursework.
After you finish the course, UPI Study sends your official transcript to Dunlap-Stone University. DSU's registrar reviews the transcript and applies the credit as a Business Elective under the articulation agreement between the two institutions. Because it is an elective equivalency, the credit counts toward your total credit hours and your elective requirements, which can help you move toward a DSU degree plan without retaking material. Keep in mind that DSU allows up to 90 transfer credits, so this course counts toward that ceiling.
This course suits students who are finishing a DSU degree and need elective hours, or who are adults balancing work and study and want a flexible, self-paced option. It is also a reasonable choice for anyone who wants to fill elective requirements at a lower cost, since 3 credits at DSU's $475 per-credit rate would otherwise total $1,425. Because DSU accepts up to 90 transfer credits, which is 75% of a degree, the course fits within that limit for most students. It is not a good fit for students who need a course that counts toward a specific required major course, since DSU recognizes it as an elective, not as a required course in a particular discipline.
Dunlap-Stone University recognizes UPI Study courses for credit in its undergraduate degrees under the signed articulation agreement. Each course below has the DSU course, general education category or elective credit Appendix 1 assigns it.
Transfer credits are never guaranteed. Students must be enrolled at DSU in good standing and meet course and program requirements. DSU is solely responsible for how it recognizes UPI Study courses.
