Savings estimate = credits × $475, DSU's undergraduate rate of $1,425 per 3-credit course (2026-2027 Academic Catalog). Under the articulation agreement DSU does not charge tuition for the UPI Study courses it recognizes as credit. Credit awards are subject to DSU's registrar review and policy.
Introduction to Psychology is the study of how people think, feel, learn, and behave. It covers the main ideas and methods psychologists use to understand topics such as memory, development, sensation, consciousness, emotion, motivation, and mental health. You also learn how psychology developed as a field and how researchers study behavior and mental processes.
The course is self-paced and online, built from video lessons, quizzes, an assignment, and a final exam. Quizzes count for 20% of your grade, assignments for 30%, and the final exam for 50%, so the exam carries the most weight and deserves the most study time. When you complete the course and your transcript is issued, that record is what Dunlap-Stone University reviews and recognizes as PSY-132 – Intro to Psychology.
The course teaches you how memory, learning, motivation, and emotion work, and how to read psychological research with a skeptical eye. Those habits carry into managing teams, communicating with customers, and making sense of everyday behavior. At DSU, the credit can count toward the Associate of Arts: Business Administration, the Bachelor of Business Administration, or the Bachelor of Arts: Psychology, depending on whether Appendix 1 assigns it as general education or elective credit in that program.
After you finish the course, your transcript is sent to Dunlap-Stone University. DSU's registrar reviews it and applies the credit as PSY-132 – Intro to Psychology, which is a named course equivalency tied to a specific catalog code rather than generic transfer credit. That means the course can fill a defined place in your degree plan, and an advisor can confirm which general education category or elective slot it fills under Appendix 1. Transfer credit is limited to 90 credits (75%), so plan the rest of your coursework with that ceiling in mind.
This course suits students who want to finish a DSU degree while bringing in credit they have already earned, rather than paying the $475 per-credit rate for an introductory course they could transfer. Working adults, career changers, and students returning to finish a degree are typical fits, especially those headed toward a Bachelor of Arts: Psychology or a business degree. Because PSY-132 is a named equivalency, you can plan around a known catalog code, but total transfer is capped at 90 credits (75%), so students expecting most of their degree to transfer should map their remaining requirements first. It is not a good fit for anyone who does not plan to earn a DSU degree or who expects the credit to satisfy a requirement without checking Appendix 1.
Dunlap-Stone University recognizes UPI Study courses for credit in its undergraduate degrees under the signed articulation agreement. Each course below has the DSU course, general education category or elective credit Appendix 1 assigns it.
Transfer credits are never guaranteed. Students must be enrolled at DSU in good standing and meet course and program requirements. DSU is solely responsible for how it recognizes UPI Study courses.
Enroll for $250 (or use a UPI Study subscription), finish in 28–30 days, and transfer 3 credits to Dunlap-Stone University.
