Savings estimate = credits × $475, DSU's undergraduate rate of $1,425 per 3-credit course (2026-2027 Academic Catalog). Under the articulation agreement DSU does not charge tuition for the UPI Study courses it recognizes as credit. Credit awards are subject to DSU's registrar review and policy.
Managerial Accounting is the part of accounting that helps people inside a business make decisions. Instead of focusing mainly on reporting to outsiders, it looks at costs, budgets, pricing, and how operations affect profit and performance. It also covers how to read financial statements in a practical way so managers can plan, control costs, and choose among business options.
Managerial Accounting (ACC 210) is a 3-credit, self-paced online course. You work through video lessons, complete quizzes and an assignment, and finish with a final exam, so you can schedule the work around your own calendar. When you complete the course, the credit appears on your transcript, and DSU recognizes that record as ACCT-201 – Accounting I.
The course teaches you to separate fixed and variable costs, build and monitor budgets, and use variance analysis to find where actual results drift from plan. Those skills apply whether you are reviewing a department budget, pricing a product, or comparing two business options. At DSU, the credit can count toward the Associate of Arts: Business Administration or the Bachelor of Business Administration. Students in the Bachelor of Arts: Psychology program should check how Appendix 1 assigns the course to their degree plan.
After you finish the course, UPI Study sends your transcript to Dunlap-Stone University. DSU's registrar reviews it and applies the credit as ACCT-201 – Accounting I, which means it is recognized by a specific catalog code rather than as a general elective. In your degree plan, that code should satisfy the accounting requirement it matches, so check your program's requirements to confirm where it fits. Transfer credit from all sources is limited to 90 credits (75%) of your DSU degree.
This course suits working adults who want accounting credit without sitting in a fixed-schedule classroom, degree-finishers who need one more business credit to complete a program, and cost-conscious students who would rather transfer a course than pay DSU's $475 per credit rate for it. Because DSU recognizes the course as a named equivalency to ACCT-201 – Accounting I, it is most useful to students who need that specific accounting credit. Transfer credit is capped at 90 credits (75%) of a DSU degree, so students who are already close to that ceiling should confirm their remaining requirements first. It is not a good match for students who are not pursuing a business-related program and have no need for an accounting credit.
Dunlap-Stone University recognizes UPI Study courses for credit in its undergraduate degrees under the signed articulation agreement. Each course below has the DSU course, general education category or elective credit Appendix 1 assigns it.
Transfer credits are never guaranteed. Students must be enrolled at DSU in good standing and meet course and program requirements. DSU is solely responsible for how it recognizes UPI Study courses.
Enroll for $250 (or use a UPI Study subscription), finish in 28–30 days, and transfer 3 credits to Dunlap-Stone University.
