Savings estimate = credits × $475, DSU's undergraduate rate of $1,425 per 3-credit course (2026-2027 Academic Catalog). Under the articulation agreement DSU does not charge tuition for the UPI Study courses it recognizes as credit. Credit awards are subject to DSU's registrar review and policy.
Marketing Research is the study of how businesses collect and use information about customers, competitors, and markets to make better decisions. It covers how people choose products, how to segment a market, and how to gather and interpret data through surveys, interviews, experiments, and existing reports. Students also learn how to turn that data into conclusions that can guide marketing strategy.
Marketing Research (Marketing 300) is a self-paced online course. You work through video lessons, complete quizzes and an assignment, and sit for a final exam, with grades weighted 25% Attendance, 25% Quizzes, 25% Assignments, and 25% Final Exam. Once you finish and the course credit posts to your transcript, Dunlap-Stone University recognizes those 3 credits as a Business Elective under its articulation agreement with UPI Study.
The course teaches you how to find out what customers want, how to divide a market into meaningful groups, and how to judge whether a set of survey results or existing reports actually supports a decision. Those habits carry into sales, product planning, and management roles. At DSU, the credit counts as a Business Elective, so it can contribute to the Associate of Arts: Business Administration, the Bachelor of Business Administration, or, depending on how you structure your electives, the Bachelor of Arts: Psychology.
After you complete the course, UPI Study sends your official transcript to Dunlap-Stone University. DSU's registrar then applies the credit as a Business Elective, which counts toward your total credit hours and your elective requirements. Transfer credit at DSU is limited to 90 credits, or 75% of the degree, so plan your remaining coursework with that ceiling in mind. For reference, DSU's per-credit rate is $475, so each transferred credit reduces the number of paid credits you need to take at that rate.
This course suits people who want a business elective completed outside a traditional semester schedule, such as working adults, students close to finishing a DSU degree, or someone changing careers toward marketing or business analysis. Because DSU counts the course as an elective equivalency, it fills elective hours rather than a specific core requirement, and transfer credit is capped at 90 credits (75%) of a degree. If you need a required course in a particular DSU major, or you want a lab-style, in-person research class, this is not the right fit.
Dunlap-Stone University recognizes UPI Study courses for credit in its undergraduate degrees under the signed articulation agreement. Each course below has the DSU course, general education category or elective credit Appendix 1 assigns it.
Transfer credits are never guaranteed. Students must be enrolled at DSU in good standing and meet course and program requirements. DSU is solely responsible for how it recognizes UPI Study courses.
Enroll for $250 (or use a UPI Study subscription), finish in 28–30 days, and transfer 3 credits to Dunlap-Stone University.
