Savings estimate = credits × $475, DSU's undergraduate rate of $1,425 per 3-credit course (2026-2027 Academic Catalog). Under the articulation agreement DSU does not charge tuition for the UPI Study courses it recognizes as credit. Credit awards are subject to DSU's registrar review and policy.
Business Math is the use of everyday mathematics in business settings. It covers topics like percentages, fractions, decimals, graphs, equations, probability, statistics, and basic financial calculations such as interest, depreciation, and installment purchases. The goal is to help you understand and solve the kinds of numerical problems that come up in business and personal finance.
Business Math is a self-paced online course built around video lessons, quizzes, assignments, and a final exam. Your grade is weighted 25% Attendance, 25% Quizzes, 25% Assignments, and 25% Final Exam, so steady work across the term counts as much as the final. Once you complete the course and the credit posts to your transcript, DSU recognizes it as General Education Mathematics.
The course covers percentages, discounts, interest, depreciation, and installment purchases, plus measures like standard deviation and financial ratios. These come up in pricing, budgeting, and reading business reports. At DSU, the credit fills a General Education Mathematics requirement in the Associate of Arts: Business Administration and the Bachelor of Business Administration, and it does the same in the Bachelor of Arts: Psychology, where it covers the math requirement while you focus on psychology courses.
After you complete Business Math, your transcript is sent to Dunlap-Stone University. DSU's registrar then applies the credit as General Education Mathematics, a general-education equivalency that satisfies a gen-ed requirement. In practice, this means the course can fill the math gen-ed slot in degree plans such as the Associate of Arts: Business Administration, the Bachelor of Business Administration, and the Bachelor of Arts: Psychology. DSU accepts up to 90 credits (75%) from transfer, and this course counts toward that limit.
This course suits students who want to finish a DSU degree without paying for a math course they do not need. That includes working adults returning to school, students close to finishing a degree, and people changing careers who need a solid grasp of business numbers. Because DSU accepts up to 90 credits (75%) through transfer, this course counts toward that ceiling, so students who have already used most of their transfer capacity should confirm their remaining room first. It is not a good fit for anyone whose DSU program calls for a more advanced mathematics course than general education, or for students who need a live, scheduled classroom.
Dunlap-Stone University recognizes UPI Study courses for credit in its undergraduate degrees under the signed articulation agreement. Each course below has the DSU course, general education category or elective credit Appendix 1 assigns it.
Transfer credits are never guaranteed. Students must be enrolled at DSU in good standing and meet course and program requirements. DSU is solely responsible for how it recognizes UPI Study courses.
Enroll for $250 (or use a UPI Study subscription), finish in 28–30 days, and transfer 3 credits to Dunlap-Stone University.
