Savings estimate = credits × $475, DSU's undergraduate rate of $1,425 per 3-credit course (2026-2027 Academic Catalog). Under the articulation agreement DSU does not charge tuition for the UPI Study courses it recognizes as credit. Credit awards are subject to DSU's registrar review and policy.
Physics I is an introduction to the basic laws that describe how objects move and interact. It covers measurement, vectors, motion, forces, work, and energy, so you learn how to use math to explain everyday physical situations such as a falling object, a car speeding up, or a ball thrown through the air.
Physics I is a self-paced online course. You work through video lessons on your own schedule, then complete quizzes, an assignment component, and a final exam, weighted 20% quizzes, 30% assignments, and 50% final exam. Completing the course produces 3 transcript credits, and that credit is what Dunlap-Stone University recognizes as General Education Science.
Physics I trains you to break a messy situation into measurable parts, work with vectors and units carefully, and check whether your numbers make sense. These habits carry over well outside a physics classroom. At DSU, the credit can fill a general-education science slot in degrees such as the Associate of Arts: Business Administration, the Bachelor of Business Administration, or the Bachelor of Arts: Psychology.
Once you finish the course, the credit appears on a transcript that DSU receives. DSU's registrar applies it as General Education Science under the articulation agreement, so it counts as a gen-ed equivalency rather than a general elective. That recognition means the 3 credits can satisfy a general-education requirement in your DSU degree plan, though you should confirm the exact fit with a DSU advisor against your program's requirements. Transfer credit is capped at 90 credits (75%), so plan how this course fits alongside any other transferred work.
This course suits working adults who want to make progress on a DSU degree without a fixed weekly class schedule, degree-finishers who need a general-education science credit, and cost-conscious students, since each transferred credit avoids DSU's $475 per-credit rate. Because DSU accepts up to 90 transfer credits (75%), it works best for students who have a clear plan for the rest of their coursework. It is not the right choice for students who need a specific DSU course number rather than a general-education credit, or for anyone who needs live instructor contact to learn physics.
Dunlap-Stone University recognizes UPI Study courses for credit in its undergraduate degrees under the signed articulation agreement. Each course below has the DSU course, general education category or elective credit Appendix 1 assigns it.
Transfer credits are never guaranteed. Students must be enrolled at DSU in good standing and meet course and program requirements. DSU is solely responsible for how it recognizes UPI Study courses.
Enroll for $250 (or use a UPI Study subscription), finish in 28–30 days, and transfer 3 credits to Dunlap-Stone University.
