Savings estimate = credits × $475, DSU's undergraduate rate of $1,425 per 3-credit course (2026-2027 Academic Catalog). Under the articulation agreement DSU does not charge tuition for the UPI Study courses it recognizes as credit. Credit awards are subject to DSU's registrar review and policy.
Principles of Management is the study of how organizations are planned, organized, led, and improved. It introduces the work managers do, the difference between management and leadership, and the main ideas that have shaped modern business practice. Students also learn how teams, structure, and change affect how an organization performs.
Principles of Management is a self-paced online course built on video lessons, quizzes, assignments, and a final exam. Your grade is weighted equally across four parts: 25% attendance, 25% quizzes, 25% assignments, and 25% final exam, so consistent work across all of them matters. When you complete the course, the transcript record is what Dunlap-Stone University recognizes as MGT-335 – Modern Management Principles.
The course explains how managers plan, organize, lead, and improve work, and how management differs from leadership. Those skills apply to supervisory roles, team projects, and day-to-day decisions in most organizations. At Dunlap-Stone, the credit lands where Appendix 1 places it, which may count toward the Associate of Arts: Business Administration, the Bachelor of Business Administration, or the Bachelor of Arts: Psychology, depending on each program's requirements.
After you finish the course, the transcript is sent to Dunlap-Stone University. DSU's registrar applies the credit as MGT-335 – Modern Management Principles, a named course equivalency that maps to a specific course code in the catalog. Under the articulation agreement, that recognition applies within your undergraduate degree plan, so review it with a DSU advisor before registering for related courses. Transfer credit is limited to 90 credits (75%), so plan your remaining coursework with that ceiling in mind.
This course fits students who plan to finish a Dunlap-Stone degree and want to earn part of it at a lower cost, including working adults who need flexible online coursework and career changers who need a management foundation. Because DSU recognizes it as a named equivalency, MGT-335 – Modern Management Principles, it carries a specific catalog code rather than serving as a general placeholder. Transfer is capped at 90 credits (75%), so it works best for students who still have remaining credits to complete. It is less suited to students who want hands-on, skills-focused coursework or who have no interest in management theory.
Dunlap-Stone University recognizes UPI Study courses for credit in its undergraduate degrees under the signed articulation agreement. Each course below has the DSU course, general education category or elective credit Appendix 1 assigns it.
Transfer credits are never guaranteed. Students must be enrolled at DSU in good standing and meet course and program requirements. DSU is solely responsible for how it recognizes UPI Study courses.
