Savings estimate = credits × $475, DSU's undergraduate rate of $1,425 per 3-credit course (2026-2027 Academic Catalog). Under the articulation agreement DSU does not charge tuition for the UPI Study courses it recognizes as credit. Credit awards are subject to DSU's registrar review and policy.
Psychology of Diversity looks at how people understand and respond to differences in culture, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, and ideology. It also examines how stereotypes, prejudice, discrimination, and bias develop, and how psychologists study those patterns across groups and settings.
The course is self-paced and online, built around video lessons, quizzes, an assignment, and a final exam. Each of those components carries an equal share of the grade: 25% attendance, 25% quizzes, 25% assignments, and 25% final exam. Completing the course produces the transcript entry that DSU reviews when it recognizes the work as PSY-310 – Multicultural Psychology.
The course trains you to examine where stereotypes and bias come from and to apply bias-reduction and cultural-competence strategies, skills that carry into hiring, supervision, client work, and community settings. At DSU, the credit can count toward the Bachelor of Business Administration or the Bachelor of Arts: Psychology, which lowers the number of courses you still need to finish. Students in the Associate of Arts: Business Administration can use it as well, depending on the general education or elective category Appendix 1 assigns.
After you finish, UPI Study sends your transcript to Dunlap-Stone University. DSU's registrar applies the course as PSY-310 – Multicultural Psychology, a named equivalency that maps to a specific catalog code rather than generic elective credit. That recognition gives the course a defined place in your degree plan, so confirm with your DSU advisor which requirement it fulfills in your program. Transfer credit is capped at 90 credits, or 75% of the total, so any transfer work beyond that ceiling will not apply toward your DSU degree.
This course suits people who already have some college credit and want to complete a DSU degree without repeating material, such as working adults fitting school around a job, students returning after a break, or anyone aiming to reduce tuition, since each transferred credit avoids DSU's $475 per-credit rate. It is a particularly good choice if you want PSY-310 on your DSU record instead of an unnamed elective. It is not a good match if you need a live class with set meeting times, or if you expect transfer work to exceed the 90-credit limit, which DSU will not accept.
Dunlap-Stone University recognizes UPI Study courses for credit in its undergraduate degrees under the signed articulation agreement. Each course below has the DSU course, general education category or elective credit Appendix 1 assigns it.
Transfer credits are never guaranteed. Students must be enrolled at DSU in good standing and meet course and program requirements. DSU is solely responsible for how it recognizes UPI Study courses.
