Savings estimate = credits × $475, DSU's undergraduate rate of $1,425 per 3-credit course (2026-2027 Academic Catalog). Under the articulation agreement DSU does not charge tuition for the UPI Study courses it recognizes as credit. Credit awards are subject to DSU's registrar review and policy.
Psychology of Personality looks at how and why people differ in their patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving. It introduces major theories of personality, from Freud and other psychodynamic thinkers to behavioral, cognitive, humanistic, and biological approaches, along with the research methods used to study personality.
Psychology of Personality is a self-paced online course built around video lessons, quizzes, one assignment, and a final exam. Quizzes count for 20% of the grade, the assignment for 30%, and the final exam for 50%, so the exam carries the most weight and is worth preparing for from the first lesson. When you pass, the completed course appears on your transcript, and DSU recognizes that record as PSY-360 – Psychology of Personality.
The course teaches you to compare theories of personality, from psychodynamic to cognitive and humanistic approaches, and to judge how cultural, environmental, and biological factors shape behavior. Those skills carry into management, hiring, client work, and day-to-day interpersonal situations. At DSU, the credit can count toward Associate of Arts: Business Administration, Bachelor of Business Administration, or Bachelor of Arts: Psychology, so the same course supports more than one kind of degree path.
After you finish the course, your transcript is sent to Dunlap-Stone University, and DSU's registrar reviews it for credit. The course is recognized as PSY-360 – Psychology of Personality, a named equivalency that matches a specific DSU catalog course, so you can see exactly how it fits your degree plan. DSU accepts up to 90 credits (75%) from transfer sources, so this course counts toward that limit. At DSU's rate of $475 per credit, a 3-credit course is $1,425 in tuition that you would not need to pay for PSY-360.
This course suits working adults, students close to finishing a DSU degree, and people changing careers who want a lower-cost way to earn credit. Because DSU recognizes it as a named equivalency and the transfer ceiling is 90 credits (75%), it is most useful when PSY-360 fits a remaining requirement in your plan. It is not a good choice if you are looking for a clinical or licensure-track training course, or if you need a course that does not map to your DSU program.
Dunlap-Stone University recognizes UPI Study courses for credit in its undergraduate degrees under the signed articulation agreement. Each course below has the DSU course, general education category or elective credit Appendix 1 assigns it.
Transfer credits are never guaranteed. Students must be enrolled at DSU in good standing and meet course and program requirements. DSU is solely responsible for how it recognizes UPI Study courses.
