Savings estimate uses Gracelyn University's $88.80/credit undergraduate tuition (2026-2027 catalog; $44 with Gracelyn's institutional scholarship). Gracelyn accepts up to 60 transfer credits into a bachelor's and 30 into an associate degree, for courses with a C- or better that fit the program. Final credit awards are determined by Gracelyn University.
Introduction to Psychology is the study of how people think, feel, learn, and behave. It covers the main ideas and methods psychologists use to understand topics such as memory, development, sensation, consciousness, emotion, motivation, and mental health. You also learn how psychology developed as a field and how researchers study behavior and mental processes.
Introduction to Psychology is a self-paced online course built around video lessons, quizzes, an assignment, and a final exam. Quizzes make up 20% of the grade, assignments 30%, and the final exam 50%, so the exam carries the most weight. Once you finish with a grade of C- or better, the course transcript goes to Gracelyn, which recognizes it as PSYC 2301 – General Psychology.
The course teaches you how memory, learning, motivation, and development work, and it asks you to apply learning theories to everyday situations. You also practice reading psychological research with a critical eye, which carries into many kinds of work that involve people. At Gracelyn, PSYC 2301 – General Psychology can be applied within the Associate of Science in Transformational Education (ATED) or the Bachelor of Science in Transformational Education (BTED), provided it fits the program requirements.
After you complete the course, the transcript is sent to Gracelyn University, and Gracelyn's registrar applies the credit as PSYC 2301 – General Psychology. Because this is a named course equivalency, the credit appears as a specific catalog course rather than as unassigned credit. Gracelyn accepts transfer credit with a grade of C- or better, and only when it fits your program. Transfer credit is capped at 60 credits, which is 50% of the degree, so this course counts toward that limit along with any other transferred work.
This course suits working adults, career changers, and students who want to lower the cost of a Gracelyn degree, since each transferred credit is one fewer billed at $88.8 per credit. Because it is recognized as a named equivalent, it counts toward a specific course rather than general elective credit. Transfer is capped at 60 credits, or 50% of the degree, so it works best as one part of a broader plan. It is not a good fit if you need live instruction, if your program does not accept this course, or if your grade falls below C-, since Gracelyn will not accept it.
Gracelyn University is DEAC-accredited and names the Gracelyn course for each UPI Study course on its list, pathway by pathway. Transfer credit needs the equivalent of a C- or better and must fit the program.
Transfer credits are never guaranteed. Final credit awards are determined solely by the receiving university's registrar.
Enroll for $250 (or use a UPI Study subscription), finish in 28–30 days, and transfer 3 credits to Gracelyn University.
