Savings estimate uses Gracelyn University's $88.80/credit undergraduate tuition (2026-2027 catalog; $44 with Gracelyn's institutional scholarship). Gracelyn accepts up to 60 transfer credits into a bachelor's and 30 into an associate degree, for courses with a C- or better that fit the program. Final credit awards are determined by Gracelyn University.
Physics I is an introduction to the basic laws that describe how objects move and interact. It covers measurement, vectors, motion, forces, work, and energy, so you learn how to use math to explain everyday physical situations such as a falling object, a car speeding up, or a ball thrown through the air.
Physics I is a self-paced online course built around video lessons, with quizzes, assignments, and a final exam that together determine your grade: 20% Quizzes, 30% Assignments, and 50% Final Exam. When you complete the course and the transcript credit posts, Gracelyn recognizes that credit as PHYS 3101 – Introduction to Physics, but only for the Secondary Science pathway.
The course teaches you to use vectors, motion equations, Newton's laws, and energy and work to predict how objects behave, from a falling object to a thrown ball. Those skills matter in technical jobs and in teaching physical science. At Gracelyn, the credit counts as PHYS 3101 within the Secondary Science pathway, which is relevant to the Associate of Science in Transformational Education (ATED) and the Bachelor of Science in Transformational Education (BTED).
After you finish Physics I, request that your transcript be sent to Gracelyn University. Gracelyn's registrar then applies the course as PHYS 3101 – Introduction to Physics for students in the Secondary Science pathway. That named equivalency means the credit maps to a specific course in Gracelyn's catalog, which makes it easier to place within your degree plan. Transfer is capped at 60 credits, or 50% of the program, so this course counts toward that limit along with any other transferred credit.
This course suits adults who are returning to finish a degree, people changing careers into science teaching, and students who want to reduce the number of credits they must pay for at Gracelyn. Because the equivalency applies only to the Secondary Science pathway, it is worth confirming that pathway before you enroll. It is not a good fit for students who are not pursuing that pathway, or for anyone who needs a grade below a C- to pass, since Gracelyn requires at least a C- for transfer.
Gracelyn University is DEAC-accredited and names the Gracelyn course for each UPI Study course on its list, pathway by pathway. Transfer credit needs the equivalent of a C- or better and must fit the program.
Transfer credits are never guaranteed. Final credit awards are determined solely by the receiving university's registrar.
Enroll for $250 (or use a UPI Study subscription), finish in 28–30 days, and transfer 3 credits to Gracelyn University.
