Savings = credits × $136 (Nexford BBA total $16,320 ÷ 120 credits, US/Canada/China region, from Nexford University Catalog 2026). Nexford credit awards are subject to Nexford's transfer credit evaluation per its institutional policies. Rates may vary by region — Group 2 (Finland/Iceland) is $112/cr, Group 3 (Kenya/Egypt/Philippines/Thailand/Indonesia) $74/cr, Group 4 (Nigeria/Ghana) $64/cr.
Intro to Biology 2 is a second-semester biology course that studies how living things are built, how they function, and how they interact with each other and their environments. It covers microbes such as viruses, prokaryotes, protists, fungi, and prions, as well as plants and animals, with attention to body systems, evolution, and basic genetics. The course is a broad survey of life science for students who want a clearer understanding of organisms from the cellular level to whole-body function.
Intro to Biology 2 is a self-paced online course built around video lessons, quizzes, assignments, and a final exam. The grade is based on 20% quizzes, 30% assignments, and 50% the final exam, so students need to stay current with the work rather than wait until the end. When the course is completed and the transcript is issued, Nexford can evaluate it as Natural and Physical Science Elective credit.
The course builds a stronger understanding of living systems, which can help with reading scientific information, making sense of health and environmental topics, and approaching evidence-based decisions with more confidence. At Nexford, that learning can count toward a Natural and Physical Science Elective in programs such as the Associate of Applied Science or the Bachelor of Business Administration, where general-education credit still matters in the degree plan.
After you finish Intro to Biology 2, the transcript is sent for review and Nexford applies the course according to its transfer evaluation process. If accepted, the registrar can post it as Natural and Physical Science Elective credit, which satisfies a general-education requirement rather than a major course requirement. That matters because it can help move an undergraduate plan forward in a Nexford degree, including programs such as the Associate of Applied Science or Bachelor of Business Administration. Nexford allows up to 90 transfer credits, or 75% of an undergraduate program, and it also offers a free, no-obligation transfer credit evaluation before you commit.
This course is a good fit for students who want to bring science credit into a Nexford degree plan without taking a full on-campus biology sequence. It is also useful for people who are working toward a program at Nexford and want an elective that can satisfy the Natural and Physical Science Elective requirement, while staying mindful of the 90-credit transfer maximum. It is not the best choice for someone looking for laboratory-intensive biology training or for a student who needs a course that transfers as major-specific biology rather than general-education credit.
Nexford University is DEAC-accredited and offers a free, no-obligation transfer credit evaluation. Its flexible policy lets you transfer up to 75% of an undergraduate program toward your degree.
Transfer credits are never guaranteed. Final credit awards are determined solely by the receiving university's registrar.
