Business Ethics studies how people should make decisions in business when legal rules, company goals, and moral responsibilities do not always point in the same direction. It looks at questions such as fair treatment at work, honest advertising, corporate responsibility, consumer rights, and how businesses affect society and the environment.
Business Ethics (Business 211) is a 3-credit, self-paced online course built around video lessons, quizzes, one assignment, and a final exam. The grading is 20% quizzes, 30% assignment, and 50% final exam, so students need to stay current rather than wait until the end. When the course is completed and the transcript is sent to Nexford University, the credit is recognized there as Business Elective.
This course helps students practice making decisions when business rules, company goals, and moral responsibilities do not line up neatly, which is useful in any workplace. At Nexford, the credit applies as a Business Elective, so it can support degree progress in programs such as the Associate of Applied Science or Bachelor of Business Administration. That matters for students who want the course to count toward total credits while keeping their degree plan moving forward.
After the course is finished, the transcript is sent for Nexford’s transfer credit evaluation. Nexford University, which is DEAC-accredited, applies the credit as Business Elective rather than as a major requirement, and that elective recognition can help fill the elective portion of an undergraduate plan. Because Nexford allows up to 90 transfer credits, or 75% of an undergraduate program, this course can be part of a larger transfer strategy for degrees such as the Associate of Applied Science or Bachelor of Business Administration. Nexford also offers a free, no-obligation transfer credit evaluation, so students can see how the course fits before making a final decision.
Business Ethics is a practical choice for students who want an elective that can transfer into Nexford as a Business Elective and count toward the 90-credit transfer maximum. It fits working adults, students finishing a degree, and people changing fields who want a course that supports business study without narrowing them into a single specialization. It is not the best fit for someone who needs a major-specific course rather than an elective, or for a student already at the point where the 75% transfer limit has been reached.
Nexford University is DEAC-accredited and offers a free, no-obligation transfer credit evaluation. Its flexible policy lets you transfer up to 75% of an undergraduate program toward your degree.
Transfer credits are never guaranteed. Final credit awards are determined solely by the receiving university's registrar.
