Savings estimate compares Post University's $629/credit online undergraduate rate against UPI Study course pricing. Post requires a 73% grade to accept a UPI course; UPI credit applies to General Education requirements only (not Major, Core, Concentration, or Minor). Maximum UPI transfer: 15 credits into an associate's, 30 into a bachelor's. Final credit awards are determined solely by Post University's registrar.
Business Essentials is an introductory course that explains how businesses work and why they make the decisions they do. It covers core ideas such as supply and demand, business ownership, leadership, operations, ethics, and how companies respond to customers, workers, competitors, and government policy.
Business Essentials is a self-paced online course built around video lessons, quizzes, assignments, and a final exam, with grading split evenly across Attendance, Quizzes, Assignments, and the Final Exam at 25% each. When you finish and the transcript is sent, Post University can review it for transfer as BUS 1XX – Business Elective, an elective equivalency rather than a direct major course.
The course gives you a practical base in how businesses make decisions about customers, workers, competitors, and government policy, which can help in day-to-day work and in understanding organizations more clearly. At Post, that credit can support degree planning in programs such as the Associate of Science or Bachelor of Science by filling elective space while moving you toward the total credit hours needed.
After you complete the course, your transcript is sent for review and Post University applies the credit according to its transfer policies. If the course is accepted, it appears as BUS 1XX – Business Elective, which means it counts as an elective in your Post degree plan rather than as a named requirement. Post is NECHE-accredited and accepts UPI Study's ACE- and NCCRS-recommended courses for General Education transfer credit, but a grade of 73% (C) or better is required. Even with accepted credit, Post allows up to 30 transfer credits, or 25% of the program.
This course is a good fit if you want a lower-division business course that may transfer to Post as BUS 1XX – Business Elective and help you use up to 30 transferable credits, or 25% of the degree. It can make sense for students who are finishing a degree, changing fields, or trying to keep costs down, especially if they need elective credit rather than a specific business requirement. It is not the best choice if you need a course that Post will treat as a direct equivalent to a required major class.
Post University is NECHE-accredited and accepts UPI Study's ACE & NCCRS-recommended courses for General Education transfer credit. A 73% (C) grade or better is required for a course to transfer.
Transfer credits are never guaranteed. Final credit awards are determined solely by the receiving university's registrar.
Enroll for $250 (or use a UPI Study subscription), finish in 28–30 days, and transfer 3 credits to Post University.
