Savings estimate compares Post University's $629/credit online undergraduate rate against UPI Study course pricing. Post requires a 73% grade to accept a UPI course; UPI credit applies to General Education requirements only (not Major, Core, Concentration, or Minor). Maximum UPI transfer: 15 credits into an associate's, 30 into a bachelor's. Final credit awards are determined solely by Post University's registrar.
Psychology of Personality looks at how and why people differ in their patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving. It introduces major theories of personality, from Freud and other psychodynamic thinkers to behavioral, cognitive, humanistic, and biological approaches, along with the research methods used to study personality.
Psychology of Personality is self-paced and online, with video-based lessons, quizzes, one assignment, and a final exam weighted 20% for quizzes, 30% for the assignment, and 50% for the final. When you finish and the transcript is sent to Post University, the course can be reviewed for transfer as PSY 2XX – Psychology Elective, which Post counts as elective credit rather than a direct major requirement.
The course builds a practical understanding of why people think, feel, and behave differently, which can help in settings where you need to interpret behavior, communicate clearly, or work with diverse people. At Post, that learning can support progress in programs such as the Associate of Science or Bachelor of Science by adding elective credit that moves you toward the total credits needed for the degree.
After you complete the course, the transcript is sent for Post University to review, and Post's registrar applies the credit as PSY 2XX – Psychology Elective if the course meets the transfer standard. That elective recognition means the credit can count toward total credit hours and elective requirements in a Post degree plan, including programs like the Associate of Science and Bachelor of Science. Post accepts up to 30 transfer credits, which is 25% of the degree, so this course should be planned as part of the larger transfer total. A 73% (C) grade or better is required for transfer.
This course is a good fit for students who want psychology credit that Post can place as a PSY 2XX – Psychology Elective, especially if they are building toward a degree and need flexible transfer options. It may suit working adults, students finishing a program, or people changing fields who want to use an elective to support a Post degree plan. It is not the best choice if you need a course that transfers as a specific required psychology class, or if you are already near Post's 30-credit transfer limit.
Post University is NECHE-accredited and accepts UPI Study's ACE & NCCRS-recommended courses for General Education transfer credit. A 73% (C) grade or better is required for a course to transfer.
Transfer credits are never guaranteed. Final credit awards are determined solely by the receiving university's registrar.
