Savings estimate compares Post University's $629/credit online undergraduate rate against UPI Study course pricing. Post requires a 73% grade to accept a UPI course; UPI credit applies to General Education requirements only (not Major, Core, Concentration, or Minor). Maximum UPI transfer: 15 credits into an associate's, 30 into a bachelor's. Final credit awards are determined solely by Post University's registrar.
Quantitative Analysis is the study of how to use numbers, models, and probability to make better decisions. In this course, students learn how to compare options, measure risk, and choose among alternatives using tools such as decision trees, simulations, inventory models, and queueing models. It is especially useful for business problems where the answer is not obvious and data has to guide the choice.
Quantitative Analysis (Math 250) is a 3-credit course built around attendance, quizzes, assignments, and a final exam, each worth 25% of the grade. Students work through the material by using numbers, models, and probability to compare options, measure risk, and make decisions with tools such as decision trees, simulations, inventory models, and queueing models. When you complete the course and it appears on your transcript with a grade of 73% (C) or better, Post University can review it as MAT 1XX – Math Elective.
The course develops practical decision-making skills that are useful when you need to weigh tradeoffs, estimate risk, or choose among alternatives with limited information. At Post, that credit can sit as an elective in programs such as the Associate of Science or Bachelor of Science, helping you move through degree requirements while keeping the focus on your major field.
After you finish the course, your transcript is sent for review and Post University applies it as MAT 1XX – Math Elective if the grade requirement is met. Because Post is NECHE-accredited and accepts UPI Study's ACE & NCCRS-recommended courses for General Education transfer credit, the course can be used as an elective toward your degree plan there. That elective recognition means the credit counts toward your overall hours and elective needs, but it does not replace a specific major course. Post allows up to 30 transfer credits, which is 25% of the total.
This course is a good fit for students planning to transfer to Post who need an elective that can count toward total credit hours and elective requirements, especially if they want a business-relevant math course rather than a highly specialized one. It may also suit students who are working through a degree path at Post and want a course that supports transfer within the 30-credit limit. It is not the best choice if you need a specific required math course for your major, since Post treats this as MAT 1XX – Math Elective rather than a direct major requirement.
Post University is NECHE-accredited and accepts UPI Study's ACE & NCCRS-recommended courses for General Education transfer credit. A 73% (C) grade or better is required for a course to transfer.
Transfer credits are never guaranteed. Final credit awards are determined solely by the receiving university's registrar.
