Advanced Social Psychology studies how people think about, influence, and relate to one another in social settings. It looks at topics such as attitudes, persuasion, prejudice, conformity, identity, and group behavior, with an emphasis on how these processes shape everyday actions and decisions.
Advanced Social Psychology (Psychology 310) is a 3-credit, self-paced online course built around video lessons, quizzes, assignments, and a final exam. Your grade combines four equal parts: 25% Attendance, 25% Quizzes, 25% Assignments, and 25% Final Exam. Once you pass, the completed course appears on your transcript, and Woodmont College recognizes it as a General Elective.
The course trains you to read everyday social situations more carefully, from how attitudes form and persuasion works to how group dynamics shape a team's decisions. Those skills carry into hiring, management, customer research, and user-facing product work, which makes the credit useful in the BS in Business and BS in Technology programs at Woodmont. Students in the BS in Psychology program can also apply the material to their broader coursework, though Woodmont places this credit in the elective category rather than as a named psychology requirement.
After you finish the course, the institution sends your transcript to Woodmont College, and the registrar evaluates it against Woodmont's equivalency sheets. Woodmont applies the course as a General Elective, so it counts toward your total credit hours and your elective requirements. Check your degree plan with a Woodmont advisor to confirm how the three credits fit your chosen program. Woodmont accepts up to 84 transfer credits (70%) from UPI Study courses in total, so the total across all your transfer work cannot exceed that limit.
This course suits adults who already have some college credit and want to finish a Woodmont degree without repeating coursework they have already covered elsewhere. It also fits students who are watching costs, since each transferred credit is one Woodmont does not charge at $360 per credit. Because Woodmont recognizes it as a General Elective, it fills elective hours and counts toward total credit, up to the 84-credit transfer ceiling. It is not a good fit for anyone who needs this specific course to satisfy a named major or general education requirement, or for anyone who expects a live, instructor-paced classroom.
Woodmont College recognizes UPI Study courses for credit in its undergraduate degrees under the signed articulation agreement. Each course below has the Woodmont course, general education requirement or general elective Woodmont's equivalency sheets assign it.
Transfer credits are never guaranteed. Students must be enrolled at Woodmont in good standing and meet course and program requirements. Woodmont is solely responsible for how it recognizes UPI Study courses.
Enroll for $250 (or use a UPI Study subscription), finish in 28–30 days, and transfer 3 credits to Woodmont College.
