Savings estimate = credits × $360, Woodmont's published undergraduate per-credit tuition (new.woodmontcollege.edu/tuition-and-fees). Under the articulation agreement Woodmont does not charge tuition for the UPI Study courses it recognizes as credit. Credit awards are subject to Woodmont's review and policy.
Intro to Biology 1 is an introduction to how living things are built, how they work, and how scientists study them. It covers the basic chemistry of life, cells, energy use, genetics, and the processes that allow organisms to grow, reproduce, and respond to their environment.
Biology 100 is a self-paced online course built around video lessons, with quizzes and assignments along the way and a final exam at the end. Your grade combines 20% quizzes, 30% assignments, and 50% final exam. When you complete the course with a passing record, the credit appears on your transcript as Science Requirement (Systems & Solutions), which Woodmont College recognizes as a general-education equivalency.
The course covers how living things are organized, how cells and macromolecules function, and how scientists test ideas with the scientific method. Those skills carry into jobs that involve reading technical reports, evaluating health or environmental claims, or working with data. At Woodmont, the credit counts toward general education in programs such as the BS in Technology, the BS in Business, and the BS in Psychology, so the knowledge does double duty in your degree.
After you finish Biology 100 through UPI Study, your transcript is sent to Woodmont College. Woodmont's registrar reviews the record and applies the credit as Science Requirement (Systems & Solutions), which satisfies a general-education requirement in your degree plan. Transfer credit is capped at 84 credits (70%), so the course counts toward that ceiling along with any other transferred work. Check with a Woodmont advisor to confirm how the credit fits your specific program.
This course suits adults returning to finish a degree, people changing careers who need a lab-science credit without committing to a classroom schedule, and students who want to reduce tuition costs, since each transferred credit saves paying Woodmont's $360 per-credit rate. It counts as a general-education science requirement, and Woodmont accepts up to 84 transfer credits (70%) toward a degree. It is not a good fit for students who need live instruction or a fixed weekly meeting time, or for anyone who expects the course to fill a major-specific requirement rather than general education.
Woodmont College recognizes UPI Study courses for credit in its undergraduate degrees under the signed articulation agreement. Each course below has the Woodmont course, general education requirement or general elective Woodmont's equivalency sheets assign it.
Transfer credits are never guaranteed. Students must be enrolled at Woodmont in good standing and meet course and program requirements. Woodmont is solely responsible for how it recognizes UPI Study courses.
Enroll for $250 (or use a UPI Study subscription), finish in 28–30 days, and transfer 3 credits to Woodmont College.
