Savings estimate = credits × $360, Woodmont's published undergraduate per-credit tuition (new.woodmontcollege.edu/tuition-and-fees). Under the articulation agreement Woodmont does not charge tuition for the UPI Study courses it recognizes as credit. Credit awards are subject to Woodmont's review and policy.
Chemistry I is an introduction to the substances that make up matter and the changes they undergo. It covers the structure of atoms, how elements combine to form molecules and compounds, how chemical reactions are balanced and measured, and how energy, bonding, gases, and physical properties fit into that picture.
Chemistry I is a self-paced online course, so you work through video lessons on your own schedule, then complete quizzes and assignments as you go. Your grade is weighted 20% quizzes, 30% assignments, and 50% final exam. Once you pass, the transcript credit is recognized by Woodmont College as Science Requirement (Systems & Solutions), which satisfies a general-education requirement.
The unit-conversion and data-interpretation work in this course carries over to technical roles, where reading measurements and checking units are routine tasks. At Woodmont, the credit fills a science slot in the BS in Technology, BS in Business, or BS in Psychology programs, so you can meet that requirement without spending a term on it. That leaves more room in your schedule for the upper-level courses your major actually requires.
After you finish Chemistry I, have your transcript sent to Woodmont College. The registrar applies the course as Science Requirement (Systems & Solutions), a general-education equivalency that satisfies a gen-ed requirement in your degree plan. Transfer credit at Woodmont is limited to 84 credits, or 70% of the degree, and this course counts toward that limit along with any other transferred work. Confirm with your Woodmont advisor how the credit posts to your specific program.
This course suits adults returning to finish a Woodmont degree who need a science requirement completed without attending a physical classroom. It also fits students who want to limit costs, since each transferred credit avoids the $360 per-credit Woodmont rate, though transfer is capped at 84 credits (70%) of the degree. It is not the best choice for students who expect an in-person lab sequence, because the course is delivered online and self-paced. If your program names a specific chemistry course, check the Woodmont equivalency sheet before assuming this one will substitute.
Woodmont College recognizes UPI Study courses for credit in its undergraduate degrees under the signed articulation agreement. Each course below has the Woodmont course, general education requirement or general elective Woodmont's equivalency sheets assign it.
Transfer credits are never guaranteed. Students must be enrolled at Woodmont in good standing and meet course and program requirements. Woodmont is solely responsible for how it recognizes UPI Study courses.
Enroll for $250 (or use a UPI Study subscription), finish in 28–30 days, and transfer 3 credits to Woodmont College.
