Savings estimate = credits × $360, Woodmont's published undergraduate per-credit tuition (new.woodmontcollege.edu/tuition-and-fees). Under the articulation agreement Woodmont does not charge tuition for the UPI Study courses it recognizes as credit. Credit awards are subject to Woodmont's review and policy.
Ethics in Technology looks at how computers, data, networks, and digital systems affect people, businesses, and society. It covers both the technical side of cybersecurity and the ethical and legal questions that come with privacy, cybercrime, data use, and emerging technologies like AI and IoT.
Ethics in Technology is a self-paced online course built around video lessons, quizzes, an assignment, and a final exam. Your final grade is weighted 25% Attendance, 25% Quizzes, 25% Assignments, and 25% Final Exam. Once the course is completed and the grade posts to your transcript, the 3 credits transfer to Woodmont College as a General Elective, which counts toward total credit hours and elective requirements.
The course examines how data, networks, and digital systems affect people and organizations, covering topics such as privacy law, phishing, social engineering, encryption, and the ethical questions raised by AI and IoT. At Woodmont, that knowledge lands as an elective that can sit alongside coursework in the BS in Technology, BS in Business, or BS in Psychology. A student in any of those programs who understands data risk and digital rights brings a practical perspective to their work.
After you finish the course, UPI Study sends your transcript to Woodmont College. Woodmont's registrar applies the course as a General Elective under the signed articulation agreement, and the 3 credits then count toward your total credit hours and elective requirements. Because it is an elective equivalency rather than a named course, it will not replace a specific requirement in your degree plan, so review the remaining requirements with a Woodmont advisor. Woodmont accepts up to 84 credits (70%) in transfer, and this course draws from that total.
This course suits students who already have college credit and want to finish a Woodmont degree without repeating material they have covered elsewhere, including working adults returning to school and people moving into technology or business roles. Because Woodmont recognizes it only as a General Elective, it fills an elective slot rather than a specific major requirement, so students who need a particular technical course should check their degree audit first. It is probably not the right choice for someone who wants a live, instructor-led classroom, since the format is self-paced, or for anyone counting on it to satisfy a named requirement in their program.
Woodmont College recognizes UPI Study courses for credit in its undergraduate degrees under the signed articulation agreement. Each course below has the Woodmont course, general education requirement or general elective Woodmont's equivalency sheets assign it.
Transfer credits are never guaranteed. Students must be enrolled at Woodmont in good standing and meet course and program requirements. Woodmont is solely responsible for how it recognizes UPI Study courses.
Enroll for $250 (or use a UPI Study subscription), finish in 28–30 days, and transfer 3 credits to Woodmont College.
