Savings estimate = credits × $360, Woodmont's published undergraduate per-credit tuition (new.woodmontcollege.edu/tuition-and-fees). Under the articulation agreement Woodmont does not charge tuition for the UPI Study courses it recognizes as credit. Credit awards are subject to Woodmont's review and policy.
Ethics in the Social Sciences looks at how people decide what is right and wrong in fields such as counseling, psychology, social work, and research. It introduces major moral theories, including ideas about moral development, consequentialist and non-consequentialist ethics, and ethical traditions from Western, Eastern, and global perspectives.
The course runs online at your own pace and combines video lessons with quizzes, an assignment, and a final exam. Your grade is weighted evenly across four parts: 25% attendance, 25% quizzes, 25% assignments, and 25% final exam. Once you complete it, the transcript credit is what Woodmont recognizes as its Ethics Requirement (Competence & Connection), a general-education equivalency.
The course trains you to reason through a moral problem when the right answer is unclear, weighing consequences against duties and applying professional standards to real cases. Those habits carry into work in technology, business, and psychology, where decisions about data, client confidentiality, or competing obligations come up regularly. At Woodmont, the credit fills a general-education slot in degree programs such as the BS in Technology, BS in Business, and BS in Psychology, so the reasoning you practice also counts toward finishing your degree.
After you finish, your transcript is sent to Woodmont, where the registrar applies the credit as Ethics Requirement (Competence & Connection). Because this is a general-education equivalency, it satisfies that requirement in your degree plan rather than counting as a major course. Woodmont allows up to 84 transferred credits, which is 70% of the undergraduate total, so track how many credits you have already transferred before adding more. Confirm with the Woodmont registrar how the credit appears on your specific program's degree audit.
This course fits students finishing a Woodmont degree who still need an ethics requirement, and career changers who want a recognized credential without repeating coursework they can transfer. It also suits cost-conscious students, since every credit that transfers is a credit you do not pay for at Woodmont's $360 per-credit rate. Because it is a general-education equivalency rather than a major course, it will not help if you need a specific major-sequence course, and it is not the right fit if you need a course taken in a live classroom. Keep in mind that transfer is capped at 84 credits (70%), so it works best when it is one part of a plan you have mapped out in advance.
Woodmont College recognizes UPI Study courses for credit in its undergraduate degrees under the signed articulation agreement. Each course below has the Woodmont course, general education requirement or general elective Woodmont's equivalency sheets assign it.
Transfer credits are never guaranteed. Students must be enrolled at Woodmont in good standing and meet course and program requirements. Woodmont is solely responsible for how it recognizes UPI Study courses.
