Savings estimate = credits × $360, Woodmont's published undergraduate per-credit tuition (new.woodmontcollege.edu/tuition-and-fees). Under the articulation agreement Woodmont does not charge tuition for the UPI Study courses it recognizes as credit. Credit awards are subject to Woodmont's review and policy.
Foundations of Leadership is a course about how people guide teams, make decisions, and influence organizations. It introduces major leadership theories, leadership styles, and the relationship between leadership and management, with attention to communication, authority, and workplace decision-making.
Foundations of Leadership is a self-paced online course, so you work through the video lessons on your own schedule. Each lesson is paired with quizzes and an assignment, and the course ends with a final exam. When you complete it, the resulting transcript credit is what Woodmont College recognizes as a General Elective under the articulation agreement.
The course covers how leaders guide teams, make decisions, communicate with authority, and resolve conflict, along with the ethical and legal questions that come up in organizations. These skills apply to supervising staff, leading a project, or presenting a recommendation to senior management. At Woodmont, the three credits count as a General Elective, so they can fill open elective hours in a BS in Business, BS in Technology, or BS in Psychology plan.
After you complete Foundations of Leadership, your transcript is sent to Woodmont College. Woodmont's registrar applies the credit as a General Elective, so it counts toward your total credit hours and elective requirements rather than a named course. Before enrolling, check whether your BS in Business, BS in Technology, or BS in Psychology degree plan still has open elective hours. Transfer credit is capped at 84 credits, or 70% of the degree, and this course uses part of that allowance.
This course suits working adults who manage or expect to manage people, degree-finishers who need a few more elective hours, career changers moving toward supervisory roles, and cost-conscious students who would otherwise pay Woodmont's $360 per credit for elective coursework. Woodmont recognizes it only as a General Elective, so it counts toward total credit hours and elective requirements, and all transferred credit is subject to the 84-credit (70%) limit. It is a poor fit for students who need a course that satisfies a specific required major or general education slot, since its Woodmont equivalency is elective-only.
Woodmont College recognizes UPI Study courses for credit in its undergraduate degrees under the signed articulation agreement. Each course below has the Woodmont course, general education requirement or general elective Woodmont's equivalency sheets assign it.
Transfer credits are never guaranteed. Students must be enrolled at Woodmont in good standing and meet course and program requirements. Woodmont is solely responsible for how it recognizes UPI Study courses.
Enroll for $250 (or use a UPI Study subscription), finish in 28–30 days, and transfer 3 credits to Woodmont College.
