Savings estimate = credits × $360, Woodmont's published undergraduate per-credit tuition (new.woodmontcollege.edu/tuition-and-fees). Under the articulation agreement Woodmont does not charge tuition for the UPI Study courses it recognizes as credit. Credit awards are subject to Woodmont's review and policy.
Healthcare Finance and Budgeting looks at how money moves through healthcare organizations and how those organizations plan, track, and report their finances. It covers the basics of accounting, budgeting, revenue, costs, payer systems, and the rules that affect financial decisions in hospitals, clinics, and other health settings.
You complete Healthcare Finance and Budgeting online at your own pace, working through video lessons on accounting, budgeting, revenue, costs, and payer systems, then moving through quizzes, assignments, and a final exam. Your grade is split evenly across four parts: 25% attendance, 25% quizzes, 25% assignments, and 25% final exam. Finishing the course produces transcript credit, and Woodmont College recognizes that credit as a General Elective.
Reading a financial statement, estimating what a service costs, and checking actual spending against a budget are skills that come up in most roles inside clinics, hospitals, and other health organizations. At Woodmont, the credit counts toward elective requirements, so it can fill open elective space in the BS in Business, where budgeting and financial reporting are central, or in the BS in Technology or BS in Psychology, where it adds a working finance background to the rest of the degree.
After you finish, your transcript is sent to Woodmont College, and the registrar applies the course under the articulation agreement between Woodmont and UPI Study. Woodmont assigns it as a General Elective, which means it counts toward total credit hours and elective requirements rather than a specific course in your major. Woodmont accepts up to 84 credits (70%) in transfer, and this course draws from that total. Check your Woodmont degree plan to confirm how the elective fits your BS in Business, BS in Technology, or BS in Psychology.
This course fits students who already have some college credit and want to finish a Woodmont degree without retaking material they do not need, including working adults with limited time and students mindful of cost. Because Woodmont treats it as a General Elective, it will not satisfy a named major or general education requirement, and it uses part of the 84-credit (70%) transfer ceiling, so it is a poor choice for anyone who needs it to meet a specific course requirement or who has already reached that ceiling.
Woodmont College recognizes UPI Study courses for credit in its undergraduate degrees under the signed articulation agreement. Each course below has the Woodmont course, general education requirement or general elective Woodmont's equivalency sheets assign it.
Transfer credits are never guaranteed. Students must be enrolled at Woodmont in good standing and meet course and program requirements. Woodmont is solely responsible for how it recognizes UPI Study courses.
Enroll for $250 (or use a UPI Study subscription), finish in 28–30 days, and transfer 3 credits to Woodmont College.
