Savings estimate = credits × $360, Woodmont's published undergraduate per-credit tuition (new.woodmontcollege.edu/tuition-and-fees). Under the articulation agreement Woodmont does not charge tuition for the UPI Study courses it recognizes as credit. Credit awards are subject to Woodmont's review and policy.
Healthcare Organization and Management is the study of how healthcare workplaces are structured and run. It looks at who does what in hospitals, clinics, medical offices, and other health settings, and how leaders make decisions about staffing, communication, planning, quality, and patient care. The course also covers the rules and systems that shape healthcare in the United States, including legal and ethical responsibilities.
The course is self-paced and fully online, built around video lessons, quizzes, a written assignment, and a final exam. Quizzes count for 20% of the grade, the assignment for 30%, and the final exam for 50%, so the exam carries the most weight in the final result. When you complete the course, it appears on your UPI Study transcript as 3 credits, and Woodmont recognizes that entry as a General Elective.
The course covers how healthcare organizations assign roles, make staffing and planning decisions, communicate internally, and handle quality, legal, and ethical obligations. Those skills apply to anyone who works in or alongside a health setting, and they also translate to general management work. At Woodmont, the 3 credits fill elective space in degree programs such as the BS in Technology, BS in Business, and BS in Psychology, so the coursework contributes to your degree rather than sitting outside it.
After you finish the course, UPI Study sends your transcript to Woodmont College, and Woodmont's registrar applies the General Elective equivalency to your record. The 3 credits count toward your total credit hours and your elective requirements in your Woodmont degree plan. Transfer credit from UPI Study may total up to 84 credits (70%) across all eligible courses, so this course uses part of that allowance. Your degree advisor can confirm how the elective applies to your specific program at Woodmont.
This course suits working adults who want a recognized credit toward a Woodmont degree without paying for a full classroom course, and students near the end of a degree who need elective hours to reach their total. It also fits people considering a move into healthcare administration who want to test the subject before committing further. Because Woodmont recognizes it only as a General Elective, it is not the right choice for a student who needs a specific general education or major course filled. Keep in mind that transfer credit across all UPI Study courses is capped at 84 credits, so this course counts toward that ceiling.
Woodmont College recognizes UPI Study courses for credit in its undergraduate degrees under the signed articulation agreement. Each course below has the Woodmont course, general education requirement or general elective Woodmont's equivalency sheets assign it.
Transfer credits are never guaranteed. Students must be enrolled at Woodmont in good standing and meet course and program requirements. Woodmont is solely responsible for how it recognizes UPI Study courses.
Enroll for $250 (or use a UPI Study subscription), finish in 28–30 days, and transfer 3 credits to Woodmont College.
