Leadership and Organizational Behavior looks at how people act in workplaces and why organizations function the way they do. It covers topics like leadership styles, motivation, communication, teamwork, personality, values, and decision-making so you can understand both individual behavior and group dynamics in a business setting. The course also connects these ideas to real organizational problems, such as morale, conflict, and ethical choices.
Leadership and Organizational Behavior (Business 206) is a self-paced online course built around video lessons, quizzes, an assignment, and a final exam. Your grade is weighted equally across four parts: 25% Attendance, 25% Quizzes, 25% Assignments, and 25% Final Exam. Once you complete the course, the transcript credit is what Woodmont College recognizes as Social Awareness & Responsibility (Competence & Connection), a general-education equivalency.
The course covers leadership styles, motivation, communication, teamwork, personality, values, and decision-making, and it applies these to problems like morale, conflict, and ethical choices at work. Those skills carry into nearly any job that involves managing people or working in a team. At Woodmont, the credit counts toward general education, so it applies to degree plans in programs such as the BS in Business, BS in Psychology, and BS in Technology, where people-focused reasoning is useful in roles that rely on coordination with others.
After you finish the course, UPI Study sends your official transcript to Woodmont College. Woodmont's registrar then applies the credit as Social Awareness & Responsibility (Competence & Connection), which satisfies a general-education requirement in your Woodmont degree plan. Check your degree audit after posting to confirm the requirement is marked complete. Transfer credit at Woodmont is capped at 84 credits, or 70% of the degree, so this course counts toward that limit along with any other transferred coursework.
This course suits students who want a practical, people-centered elective that also moves them toward a Woodmont degree, including working adults fitting coursework around a job and students finishing a degree who need a general-education requirement filled. Because Woodmont assigns it to a general-education requirement, it will not stand in for a specific major course. It is also not a good fit for anyone who needs a live, instructor-led class or who is transferring for a subject-specific credit in a major, since the equivalency is general education. Keep in mind that Woodmont accepts up to 84 credits (70%) in transfer, so this course uses part of that allowance.
Woodmont College recognizes UPI Study courses for credit in its undergraduate degrees under the signed articulation agreement. Each course below has the Woodmont course, general education requirement or general elective Woodmont's equivalency sheets assign it.
Transfer credits are never guaranteed. Students must be enrolled at Woodmont in good standing and meet course and program requirements. Woodmont is solely responsible for how it recognizes UPI Study courses.
Enroll for $250 (or use a UPI Study subscription), finish in 28–30 days, and transfer 3 credits to Woodmont College.
