Savings estimate = credits × $360, Woodmont's published undergraduate per-credit tuition (new.woodmontcollege.edu/tuition-and-fees). Under the articulation agreement Woodmont does not charge tuition for the UPI Study courses it recognizes as credit. Credit awards are subject to Woodmont's review and policy.
Marketing Research is the study of how businesses collect and use information about customers, competitors, and markets to make better decisions. It covers how people choose products, how to segment a market, and how to gather and interpret data through surveys, interviews, experiments, and existing reports. Students also learn how to turn that data into conclusions that can guide marketing strategy.
The course is self-paced and online, built around video lessons, quizzes, an assignment component, and a final exam. Your grade is weighted 25% attendance, 25% quizzes, 25% assignments, and 25% final exam. Once you complete it, the transcript credit lands on your record as a 3-credit General Elective, which is how Woodmont College recognizes it under the UPI Study articulation agreement.
Marketing Research teaches you to decide what information you need, where to find it, and how to read it without overreaching. Those habits carry into planning, budgeting, product reviews, and customer-facing work in almost any field. At Woodmont, the 3 credits count toward total hours and elective requirements in programs such as the BS in Technology, BS in Business, and BS in Psychology, so the skills and the credit both do useful work.
After you finish the course, UPI Study sends your transcript to Woodmont College. Woodmont's registrar then applies the credit as a General Elective, which counts toward your total credit hours and elective requirements in your degree plan. Your Woodmont advisor can confirm exactly where the 3 credits fit within your chosen program. Keep in mind that Woodmont accepts up to 84 credits (70%) in transfer, so this course uses part of that allowance.
This course suits people who want a marketing-related credit without committing to a full classroom schedule, including working adults, students closing out a degree, and those moving into a new field. Because Woodmont treats it as a General Elective, it fills an open elective slot rather than a specific major requirement, so it makes most sense if you have room for elective credit. Students who need a course that fulfills a named major or general education requirement at Woodmont should check their equivalency sheets first, since this course does not serve that role. Anyone who wants a hands-on lab or in-person discussion will likely find the self-paced format a poor fit.
Woodmont College recognizes UPI Study courses for credit in its undergraduate degrees under the signed articulation agreement. Each course below has the Woodmont course, general education requirement or general elective Woodmont's equivalency sheets assign it.
Transfer credits are never guaranteed. Students must be enrolled at Woodmont in good standing and meet course and program requirements. Woodmont is solely responsible for how it recognizes UPI Study courses.
Enroll for $250 (or use a UPI Study subscription), finish in 28–30 days, and transfer 3 credits to Woodmont College.
