Savings estimate = credits × $360, Woodmont's published undergraduate per-credit tuition (new.woodmontcollege.edu/tuition-and-fees). Under the articulation agreement Woodmont does not charge tuition for the UPI Study courses it recognizes as credit. Credit awards are subject to Woodmont's review and policy.
Microeconomics is the study of how individuals, households, and businesses make choices when resources are limited. It focuses on topics like supply and demand, prices, consumer behavior, production costs, and how markets respond to government rules, taxes, and competition. In this course, you learn how these decisions shape everyday markets such as labor, goods, and financial services.
Microeconomics is a self-paced online course built around video lessons, quizzes, an assignment, and a final exam. Quizzes count for 20% of the grade, assignments for 30%, and the final exam for 50%, so the exam carries the most weight. Once the course is completed, the transcript entry it produces is what Woodmont reviews for its Social Awareness & Responsibility (Competence & Connection) equivalency.
The course teaches you to reason through how prices, costs, and competition shape the choices of firms and households, and how taxes or regulations shift those choices. Those habits carry into hiring, pricing, budgeting, and reading news about labor and financial markets. At Woodmont, the credit can satisfy a general-education requirement in degrees such as the BS in Business, BS in Technology, or BS in Psychology, so the same course supports several career paths.
After you finish Microeconomics, your transcript is sent to Woodmont. Woodmont's registrar then applies the Social Awareness & Responsibility (Competence & Connection) equivalency, which is a general-education equivalency that satisfies a gen-ed requirement in your degree plan. Woodmont recognizes UPI Study courses for credit under the signed articulation agreement, and its per-credit rate context is $360. Transfer credit is limited to 84 credits (70%), so plan your remaining Woodmont coursework with that ceiling in mind.
This course suits students who want to finish a Woodmont degree without repeating general-education work they have already done elsewhere, including working adults returning to school, career changers, and students watching tuition costs. Because Woodmont assigns it to general education rather than to a major sequence, it is most useful when you still need that requirement filled. Transfer is capped at 84 credits, so if you have already used most of that allowance, this course may not add much. It is also a poor choice if you need live, instructor-led economics instruction, since the course is self-paced and online.
Woodmont College recognizes UPI Study courses for credit in its undergraduate degrees under the signed articulation agreement. Each course below has the Woodmont course, general education requirement or general elective Woodmont's equivalency sheets assign it.
Transfer credits are never guaranteed. Students must be enrolled at Woodmont in good standing and meet course and program requirements. Woodmont is solely responsible for how it recognizes UPI Study courses.
