Savings estimate = credits × $360, Woodmont's published undergraduate per-credit tuition (new.woodmontcollege.edu/tuition-and-fees). Under the articulation agreement Woodmont does not charge tuition for the UPI Study courses it recognizes as credit. Credit awards are subject to Woodmont's review and policy.
Principles of Management is the study of how organizations are planned, organized, led, and improved. It introduces the work managers do, the difference between management and leadership, and the main ideas that have shaped modern business practice. Students also learn how teams, structure, and change affect how an organization performs.
Principles of Management is a self-paced online course built around video lessons, quizzes, an assignment, and a final exam. Your grade is weighted 25% attendance, 25% quizzes, 25% assignments, and 25% final exam, so steady participation in lessons counts as much as the exam. Once you complete the course and earn the grade, the credit appears on your transcript, and Woodmont College recognizes it as a General Elective.
The course covers how organizations are planned, organized, led, and improved, and it draws a clear line between management and leadership. Those distinctions carry into any job that involves coordinating people, from supervising a project team to running a department. At Woodmont, this credit counts toward total hours in programs such as the BS in Technology, BS in Business, and BS in Psychology, where students often need to show they understand how teams and structures affect results.
After you finish the course, your transcript is sent to Woodmont College, and Woodmont's registrar applies the credit as a General Elective. That recognition means the three credits count toward your total credit hours and your elective requirements, but they do not map to a specific Woodmont course number. Your degree audit will show the credit once it posts, so check it against your plan before enrolling in other electives. All transfer credit combined cannot exceed 84 credits, which is 70% of the degree.
This course suits working adults who want a management foundation without committing to a full semester schedule, degree-finishers who need a few remaining elective hours, and career changers testing whether management interests them. Because the credit is a General Elective rather than a named core requirement, it fills elective space but will not replace a specific course in your Woodmont degree plan. It is not the right choice if your program requires a particular business course, or if you need a course that must appear by name on your major sheet. Also keep in mind that Woodmont accepts up to 84 credits (70%) in transfer, so this course is one of several options you will need to weigh against that ceiling.
Woodmont College recognizes UPI Study courses for credit in its undergraduate degrees under the signed articulation agreement. Each course below has the Woodmont course, general education requirement or general elective Woodmont's equivalency sheets assign it.
Transfer credits are never guaranteed. Students must be enrolled at Woodmont in good standing and meet course and program requirements. Woodmont is solely responsible for how it recognizes UPI Study courses.
Enroll for $250 (or use a UPI Study subscription), finish in 28–30 days, and transfer 3 credits to Woodmont College.
