Psychology of Diversity looks at how people understand and respond to differences in culture, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, and ideology. It also examines how stereotypes, prejudice, discrimination, and bias develop, and how psychologists study those patterns across groups and settings.
Psychology of Diversity (Psychology 112) is a 3-credit online course built on video lessons, quizzes, an assignment, and a final exam. Your grade is split evenly across attendance, quizzes, assignments, and the final exam, at 25% each. When you complete the course, the transcript credit goes to Woodmont College, which recognizes it as Social Awareness & Responsibility (Competence & Connection).
The course covers how stereotypes, prejudice, and bias form, and how to apply bias-reduction and cultural competence strategies in mixed-group settings. Those skills show up in hiring, team management, client work, and community-facing roles. At Woodmont, the credit fills a general-education slot, so you can apply that coursework toward a degree in BS in Technology, BS in Business, or BS in Psychology without taking a separate course in the same area.
After you finish the course, UPI Study sends your transcript to Woodmont College. Woodmont's registrar then applies Social Awareness & Responsibility (Competence & Connection) to your record as a general-education equivalency. In your degree plan, that means the credit satisfies a gen-ed requirement rather than a major or elective requirement. Woodmont accepts up to 84 credits (70%) from UPI Study courses toward an undergraduate degree, so this course counts toward that limit.
This course suits students who want a general-education requirement met at a lower cost than an in-person course, including working adults, people returning to finish a degree, and career changers moving into fields that involve people across differences. Because Woodmont recognizes the credit as satisfying a gen-ed requirement and allows up to 84 transferred credits (70% of the degree), it works best for students who still have room under that ceiling. It is not a fit for anyone who expects it to count toward a specific major course. Confirm with your Woodmont degree audit before enrolling if your program requires a particular psychology elective.
Woodmont College recognizes UPI Study courses for credit in its undergraduate degrees under the signed articulation agreement. Each course below has the Woodmont course, general education requirement or general elective Woodmont's equivalency sheets assign it.
Transfer credits are never guaranteed. Students must be enrolled at Woodmont in good standing and meet course and program requirements. Woodmont is solely responsible for how it recognizes UPI Study courses.
Enroll for $250 (or use a UPI Study subscription), finish in 28–30 days, and transfer 3 credits to Woodmont College.
