Savings = semester credits × $518: Strayer's $1,555 undergraduate tuition per course (strayer.edu, 13 Oct 2026) divided by the 3 semester hours one Strayer course equals. Strayer makes the final credit award.
Calculus 2 is the next step after introductory calculus, focused on techniques for evaluating integrals and using them to solve more advanced problems. It also introduces sequences, infinite series, and power series, which are ways of representing and approximating functions. In practical terms, the course asks you to choose the right method for a problem and explain why it works.
Calculus 2 is a self-paced online course built on video lessons, with quizzes and assignments throughout and a final exam at the end. Grading is weighted equally across four parts: 25% Attendance, 25% Quizzes, 25% Assignments, and 25% Final Exam. When the completed course appears on your transcript with a grade of C or higher, Strayer recognizes it as MAT200 – Precalculus.
The work in this course, including choosing an integration method, testing whether a series converges, and checking how accurate an approximation is, builds the kind of quantitative judgment that comes up in technical, analytical, and science-related jobs. At Strayer, the credit is recorded as MAT200 – Precalculus, so it lands as a specific math course in your record for programs such as the Associate in Arts or the Bachelor's degree. That means the reasoning you practice here is documented in your degree plan, not just listed as general credit.
After you finish, your transcript is sent to Strayer University, and Strayer's registrar reviews it and applies MAT200 – Precalculus as the named equivalency under the articulation agreement with UPI Study, effective 15 June 2025. Because the recognition maps to a specific catalog course code, the credit appears as that course in your Strayer record instead of as unassigned elective credit. Strayer's 2026-2027 catalog accepts ACE- and NCCRS-reviewed credit with a grade of C or higher, and it sets a transfer ceiling of 126 quarter hours toward a bachelor's degree, which is 70% of credit. Plan your degree sequence with that ceiling in mind.
This course suits working adults who want to study on their own schedule, degree-finishers who already have some college credit and want to close a math gap, and career changers who need a quantitative course on a transcript without paying for a full in-person term. Cost matters here too: at $518 per credit, every transferred credit reduces what you pay at Strayer, up to the 126-credit transfer limit. It is not the right choice if you need calculus recognized as a calculus course at Strayer, since the named equivalency is MAT200 – Precalculus, or if you prefer live, instructor-paced classes. It also will not help if your final grade falls below a C, because Strayer does not accept credit at that level.
Strayer University signed an articulation agreement with UPI Study (effective 15 June 2025). Its 2026-2027 catalog accepts credit reviewed by ACE and NCCRS, with a grade of C or higher, up to 126 quarter hours toward a bachelor's degree.
Transfer credits are never guaranteed. Strayer determines, in its sole discretion, which credits qualify under the agreement and its transfer credit policies.
