From a UPI class to a Strayer degree.

Colleges usually record UPI Study courses as transfer credit, as credit for prior learning (CPL), or as noncollegiate (alternative) credit. That is how colleges evaluate professional training reviewed by ACE or NCCRS, and UPI Study courses are reviewed the same way: every UPI Study course listed here carries an NCCRS credit recommendation, and some also carry an ACE credit recommendation. The Strayer equivalent for each UPI Study course is listed on this page. Send your official UPI Study transcript to Strayer University; Strayer decides how each course counts, and the final decision is with the university.

Yes. Strayer University and UPI Study signed an articulation agreement effective 15 June 2025. Its Appendix 1 lists the Strayer course, or General Elective, each UPI Study course on this page transfers as. Strayer reviews every request under its own transfer credit policies and makes the final decision.

The agreement says UPI Study transcripts go to universityrecords@strayer.edu. Strayer's transcript evaluation team reviews it; strayer.edu says results usually post on iCampus within 3-5 business days of the review starting.

Strayer's 2026-2027 catalog allows up to 126 quarter hours of transfer credit from all sources toward a bachelor's degree (strayer.edu: up to 28 classes, about 70%) and 63 toward an associate degree. At least 54 quarter hours of a bachelor's are taken at Strayer.

Strayer runs on a quarter system. Its catalog equates one 4.5-quarter-hour Strayer course to 3.0 semester hours, so a 3-credit UPI Study course lines up with one Strayer course.

Strayer makes the final evaluation. Its catalog asks for a grade of C or higher, accepts credit reviewed by ACE and NCCRS, posts duplicate transfer credit only once, and evaluates accounting and computer-related courses under a ten-year limit.

Strayer's undergraduate tuition is $1,555 per course (strayer.edu, checked 13 October 2026). UPI Study's monthly plan is $89 for unlimited courses, the 4-month plan is $279, and Lifetime access is a one-time payment.
