Savings = semester credits × $518: Strayer's $1,555 undergraduate tuition per course (strayer.edu, 13 Oct 2026) divided by the 3 semester hours one Strayer course equals. Strayer makes the final credit award.
Globalization and International Management looks at how businesses operate across countries and why managing them is different from managing a company that only works in one market. It covers topics like global competition, international strategy, culture, trade rules, outsourcing, and how managers lead teams made up of people from different backgrounds and locations.
The course is self-paced and online, built around video lessons, quizzes, and assignments, with a final exam at the end. Your standing is weighted equally across four parts: 25% Attendance, 25% Quizzes, 25% Assignments, and 25% Final Exam. Once you complete the course with a grade of C or higher, the transcript credit it produces is recognized by Strayer as ELC000 – General Elective.
Much of the course deals with running work across borders, adjusting management practice to different cultures, and reading how trade rules and political conditions shape a market. Those skills carry into roles with remote, multinational, or mixed-background teams. At Strayer, the credit lands in an elective slot within programs such as the Associate in Arts and the Bachelor's degree, so the learning counts toward a degree you are already working on.
After you finish the course, your transcript is sent to Strayer, where the registrar applies it as ELC000 – General Elective. That recognition counts toward your total credit hours and elective requirements, and it does not stand in for a specific business course. Strayer's articulation agreement with UPI Study, effective 15 June 2025, allows up to 126 credits (quarter hours) to transfer toward a bachelor's degree, provided each course earns a C or higher. Credit is reviewed under ACE and NCCRS standards, as described in the 2026-2027 Strayer catalog.
This course suits students who are finishing or extending a Strayer degree and want to apply coursework completed elsewhere, especially those whose plans still have open elective space. Because ELC000 is an elective equivalency, it satisfies elective requirements and counts toward total hours, but it will not fill a required major course; Strayer's transfer ceiling of 126 credits (70%) also means it counts within that limit. It is a weaker choice for anyone who needs this exact course to meet a specific major requirement or prerequisite.
Strayer University signed an articulation agreement with UPI Study (effective 15 June 2025). Its 2026-2027 catalog accepts credit reviewed by ACE and NCCRS, with a grade of C or higher, up to 126 quarter hours toward a bachelor's degree.
Transfer credits are never guaranteed. Strayer determines, in its sole discretion, which credits qualify under the agreement and its transfer credit policies.
