Savings = semester credits × $518: Strayer's $1,555 undergraduate tuition per course (strayer.edu, 13 Oct 2026) divided by the 3 semester hours one Strayer course equals. Strayer makes the final credit award.
Leading Organizational Change is the study of how leaders guide people, teams, and whole organizations through change. It looks at why change happens, how leadership styles affect the process, and how structures, communication, and power shape what people do when a business is trying to move in a new direction.
You work through the course online at your own pace, moving through video lessons and completing graded work along the way. Quizzes count for 20% of your grade, the assignment for 30%, and the final exam for the remaining 50%. Once you pass with a C or higher, the 3-credit result appears on your transcript, and Strayer recognizes it as ELC000 – General Elective, an elective equivalency that counts toward total credit hours and elective requirements.
The course teaches you to separate management from leadership, to read how power and communication shape a team during change, and to build a change plan that stakeholders will support. Those abilities apply to supervisory roles, project coordination, and any job where you need to move people toward something new. At Strayer, the credit lands as ELC000 General Elective inside degree paths such as the Associate in Arts or the Bachelor's degree, where it fills elective space.
After you finish the course, your official transcript is sent to Strayer, where the registrar reviews it and applies the course as ELC000 – General Elective. That equivalency counts toward your total credit hours and your elective requirements, so it moves your degree plan forward without substituting for a required course. Strayer's 2026-2027 catalog accepts credit reviewed by ACE and NCCRS with a grade of C or higher, up to 126 quarter hours toward a bachelor's degree. This transfer is made under the articulation agreement between Strayer and UPI Study, effective 15 June 2025.
This course fits working adults and degree-finishers who have open elective slots and would rather earn that credit online than sit another elective course. Career changers aiming for management roles will find the material directly useful, and cost-conscious students benefit because each credit transferred in is one they do not pay Strayer's $518 per-credit rate to earn. It counts only as a General Elective, so it will not satisfy a required core or major course, and students who need a specific leadership or organizational requirement should confirm their plan with an advisor first. Transfer credit is capped at 126 credits (70%), so it is worth checking how much room remains before you enroll.
Strayer University signed an articulation agreement with UPI Study (effective 15 June 2025). Its 2026-2027 catalog accepts credit reviewed by ACE and NCCRS, with a grade of C or higher, up to 126 quarter hours toward a bachelor's degree.
Transfer credits are never guaranteed. Strayer determines, in its sole discretion, which credits qualify under the agreement and its transfer credit policies.
