Savings = semester credits × $518: Strayer's $1,555 undergraduate tuition per course (strayer.edu, 13 Oct 2026) divided by the 3 semester hours one Strayer course equals. Strayer makes the final credit award.
Physics I is an introduction to the basic laws that describe how objects move and interact. It covers measurement, vectors, motion, forces, work, and energy, so you learn how to use math to explain everyday physical situations such as a falling object, a car speeding up, or a ball thrown through the air.
Physics I is a self-paced online course built around video lessons, with your grade drawn from quizzes (20%), assignments (30%), and a final exam (50%). Once you complete the course with a grade of C or higher, the transcript entry is what Strayer reviews, and it is recognized there as SCI201 – Unlocking the Secrets to Science and Innovation.
The skills in this course, such as resolving forces into components, predicting how a moving object will behave, and tracking energy through a system, show up in technical work and in everyday quantitative reasoning. At Strayer, the SCI201 credit can apply toward an Associate in Arts or a Bachelor's degree, so the coursework you finish now continues to count as you move through your program.
After you finish Physics I, your transcript is sent to Strayer, where the registrar applies the credit as SCI201 – Unlocking the Secrets to Science and Innovation. That named recognition is a catalog equivalency, so the credit appears as a defined course on your Strayer record rather than as unassigned transfer hours. Before you enroll, check with Strayer's advising office to confirm where SCI201 fits in your degree plan. Strayer accepts up to 126 quarter hours toward a bachelor's degree, and this credit counts against that limit along with any other transferred work.
This course suits students who are working toward a Strayer degree, want a science credit they can complete online on their own schedule, and prefer a lower-cost route to that credit. Adults returning to school and people changing fields are often in this group. Because the recognition is specifically SCI201 and transfer is capped at 126 quarter hours (70% of a degree), it is most useful for students who need that particular science credit in their plan. It is not the right choice for students who need a physics course recognized under a different Strayer course code, or for anyone who expects to earn a grade below C and still have it transfer.
Strayer University signed an articulation agreement with UPI Study (effective 15 June 2025). Its 2026-2027 catalog accepts credit reviewed by ACE and NCCRS, with a grade of C or higher, up to 126 quarter hours toward a bachelor's degree.
Transfer credits are never guaranteed. Strayer determines, in its sole discretion, which credits qualify under the agreement and its transfer credit policies.
Enroll for $250 (or use a UPI Study subscription), finish in 28–30 days, and transfer 3 credits to Strayer University.
