Savings = semester credits × $518: Strayer's $1,555 undergraduate tuition per course (strayer.edu, 13 Oct 2026) divided by the 3 semester hours one Strayer course equals. Strayer makes the final credit award.
Psychology of Diversity looks at how people understand and respond to differences in culture, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, age, and ideology. It also examines how stereotypes, prejudice, discrimination, and bias develop, and how psychologists study those patterns across groups and settings.
Psychology of Diversity is a self-paced online course built from video lessons, quizzes, assignments, and a final exam. Each of four components counts for 25% of the grade: Attendance, Quizzes, Assignments, and the Final Exam. Once you complete it with a passing record, the transcript credit is what Strayer reviews, and Strayer recognizes that credit as SOC101 – The Story of Us: Embracing Diversity and Collaboration.
The course teaches you to trace where stereotypes and prejudice come from, to use bias-reduction and cultural-competence strategies, and to communicate about social justice across differences. Those skills apply in supervisory roles, client-facing jobs, and mixed-background teams. At Strayer, the SOC101 equivalency can be applied within programs such as the Associate in Arts and the Bachelor's degree, so the skills you build also count toward the credential you are pursuing.
After you finish the course, your transcript is sent to Strayer University, and Strayer's registrar reviews it under the articulation agreement with UPI Study, effective 15 June 2025. A grade of C or higher allows the credit to be applied as SOC101 – The Story of Us: Embracing Diversity and Collaboration, a named equivalency that maps to a specific catalog course rather than a general elective. That placement gives you a defined place in your degree plan, though you should confirm it against your program requirements. Strayer accepts up to 126 quarter hours of transfer credit toward a bachelor's degree, so check how this course fits within that ceiling alongside any other transfer work.
This course suits students who want to finish a Strayer degree without repeating subject matter they have already covered elsewhere, including working adults fitting coursework around jobs and people returning to finish a degree. Because Strayer recognizes the course as a named equivalency and accepts up to 126 quarter hours toward a bachelor's degree, it is most useful when you have a substantial amount of prior credit and need this subject filled. Strayer's rate is $518 per credit, so a transfer credit that replaces a paid course is worth confirming early. It is not the right choice if you need a scheduled, instructor-led class, since the course is self-paced.
Strayer University signed an articulation agreement with UPI Study (effective 15 June 2025). Its 2026-2027 catalog accepts credit reviewed by ACE and NCCRS, with a grade of C or higher, up to 126 quarter hours toward a bachelor's degree.
Transfer credits are never guaranteed. Strayer determines, in its sole discretion, which credits qualify under the agreement and its transfer credit policies.
Enroll for $250 (or use a UPI Study subscription), finish in 28–30 days, and transfer 3 credits to Strayer University.
