ACE
Recommends credit through its Learning Evaluations; courses are listed in its National Guide.
ACE (the American Council on Education) and NCCRS (the National College Credit Recommendation Service, a program of the Board of Regents of the University of the State of New York) do the same job: they review learning outside traditional college classrooms and recommend how much college credit it is worth. Neither one awards credit; your college decides whether to accept a recommendation. Every UPI Study course carries an NCCRS credit recommendation, and 22 courses also carry one from ACE.

Neither ranks above the other: they do the same job. What matters is which one your college works with, so ask your registrar which recommendations it accepts.
No. Both recommend credit for individual courses. NCCRS puts it plainly: “NCCRS is not an accrediting body.” A recommendation becomes college credit only when your college awards it.
UPI Study's ACE listings run 3 years and its NCCRS listings 5 years, and we renew them as they end. Credit you have earned stays valid for 10 years, even if a course's listing later ends.
ACE and NCCRS have over 2,100 cooperating colleges that will consider accepting credits; the final decision is with the universities. Search your school in Find My College and ask your registrar which recommendations it accepts.
