Credit Transfer Process & Accreditation

The American Council on Education (ACE) has recommended UPI Study courses for college credits to its cooperating universities. ACE is a trusted organization that collaborates with over 2,800 U.S. colleges and the Department of Education of the United States, which allows our students to earn transferable college credits.

NCCRS, a government-recognized body working with 1,500 U.S. universities, has recommended UPI Study's 68 courses for college credits, allowing our students to earn college credits in these universities.

Excelsior University, a regionally accredited institution, will recognize UPI's transcript of NCCRS & ACE recommended courses and can issue a OneTranscript to present to universities or employers.
Note:
Any student who is not or has not been a degree seeking student with Excelsior University can utilize the Excelsior OneTranscript service. Individuals looking to utilize the Excelsior's OneTranscript service should reach out to the institution or agency they are intending on applying to in order to confirm use of this transcript is appropriate and will be accepted.

UPI Study is accredited in Canada that will offer a dual transcript of your diploma to facilitate college credit transfers.

-
How to check if your university will accept credits from UPI study?
To ensure your UPI Study courses transfer to your university, check two things:
1) Is your university listed? If it's one of the 1,500 universities listed with NCCRS, you're all set.
OR
2) Check your university's credit policy. If it says they accept credits from "regionally accredited" universities, you're good to go! As long as you meet one of these criteria, your courses should transfer without a hitch.

Will there be hand holding to help transfer courses?
Yes, that is what differentiates UPI. With each student their advisor will guide them on how to move forward.
