Entrepreneurship is the study of how new business ideas are identified, shaped, and turned into workable ventures. It covers the mindset and practical steps involved in starting and growing a business, including market research, planning, financing, ethics, and communicating an idea clearly.
Entrepreneurship (Business 310) is a 3-credit self-paced online course with video lessons, quizzes, assignments, and a final exam. The grade is based on 20% quizzes, 30% assignments, and 50% the final exam, so students should expect steady work through the term rather than one final assessment only. When the course is completed, the transcript can be sent to CrestPoint University, where it is recognized as BUS-401 – Small Business Management under the signed articulation agreement.
The course builds practical skills in planning, market analysis, financing, ethics, and clear communication, which are useful in many work settings beyond starting a business. At CrestPoint, the credit applies as BUS-401 – Small Business Management, so it can support degree progress in programs such as the Associate of Paralegal Studies or the Bachelor of Business Administration. That makes the course relevant for students who want business knowledge they can use in a degree plan and in everyday decision-making.
After completion, the transcript is sent for review and CrestPoint applies the credit as BUS-401 – Small Business Management under the articulation agreement. Because this is a named course equivalency, it is the strongest form of transfer recognition and gives the course a specific place in the CrestPoint catalog and degree plan. Students should still keep CrestPoint’s overall transfer ceiling in mind: up to 72 credits, or 60% of the program, may transfer. CrestPoint also accepts transfer credit recommended by ACE, NCCRS, and CCAP, but this course has its own assigned equivalent at CrestPoint.
This course is a good fit for students who want to move toward CrestPoint with a clear transfer target and make use of a named course equivalency, BUS-401 – Small Business Management. It may also suit students who are trying to stay within CrestPoint’s transfer limit of up to 72 credits, or 60% of the degree, while choosing coursework that connects to programs like the Bachelor of Business Administration. It is less useful for someone who does not need business-credit transfer or who is not planning to complete a CrestPoint program.
CrestPoint University accepts transfer credit recommended by ACE, NCCRS, and CCAP. Under the signed articulation agreement with UPI Study, each course below has an assigned CrestPoint course equivalent.
Transfer credits are never guaranteed. Students must be enrolled at CrestPoint in good standing and meet course and program requirements. Final credit awards are determined solely by CrestPoint University's registrar.
