Leading Organizational Change is the study of how leaders guide people, teams, and whole organizations through change. It looks at why change happens, how leadership styles affect the process, and how structures, communication, and power shape what people do when a business is trying to move in a new direction.
The course is self-paced and online, with video lessons, quizzes, an assignment, and a final exam. Grades are weighted 20% quizzes, 30% assignment, and 50% final exam, so the exam carries the most weight. Once you complete it, the 3-credit course appears on your transcript, and Pathways College recognizes it as General Elective (Pathways).
The course focuses on the difference between managing and leading, and on how leaders guide teams and whole organizations through a change in direction. Those skills apply to supervisors, team leads, and anyone asked to help with a reorganization or new initiative. At Pathways, the 3 credits fill elective space in programs such as the Associate degree or Bachelor of Arts, so the work can count toward a degree while you apply what you learn on the job.
After you finish the course, your transcript is sent to Pathways College, and the Pathways registrar applies General Elective (Pathways) to your record. This means the 3 credits count toward your total credit hours and elective requirements in your degree plan. Pathways allows up to 90 credits (75%) to transfer, so include this course in that total when you plan your remaining credits. Pathways College is an active transfer partner of UPI Study.
This course suits people who already work in or near organizations and want a transferable credit that moves them toward a Pathways degree. It is a good fit for students with open elective slots, because at Pathways it counts toward total credit hours and elective requirements but is not recognized as a named major or general education course. If you need a credit to satisfy a specific major or general education requirement, this course will not do that at Pathways. Keep in mind that all transfer credit, including this course, counts toward the 90-credit (75%) limit.
Pathways College signed an articulation agreement with UPI Study (July 2025): 17 named course equivalents, plus elective credit for other UPI Study courses not used for general education or the major, up to 48 credits.
Transfer credits are never guaranteed. Pathways College's Registrar reviews and grants transfer credit under Pathways' policies.
Enroll for $250 (or use a UPI Study subscription), finish in 28–30 days, and transfer 3 credits to Pathways College.
