Pathways College is a private, non-profit online college. Tuition is $206 per credit with no registration fee, and its website says textbooks are always free.

WSCUC accredited

Pathways is accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC). Its catalog notes it is currently under an Order to Show Cause and remains accredited while it responds.

Signed UPI Study agreement

Pathways and UPI Study signed an articulation agreement in July 2025: 17 named course equivalents, and elective credit for other UPI Study courses not used for general education or the major, up to 48 credits.

Online, in 10- and 5-week modules

Pathways teaches online in two 16-week semesters plus a summer session, with classes offered as 10-week and 5-week modules.

Where does UPI Study credit go at Pathways College?

Colleges usually record UPI Study courses as transfer credit, as credit for prior learning (CPL), or as noncollegiate (alternative) credit. That is how colleges evaluate professional training reviewed by ACE or NCCRS, and UPI Study courses are reviewed the same way: every UPI Study course listed here carries an NCCRS credit recommendation, and some also carry an ACE credit recommendation. The Pathways equivalent for each UPI Study course is listed on this page. Send your official UPI Study transcript to Pathways College; Pathways decides how each course counts, and the final decision is with the university.

Does Pathways College accept UPI Study credits?

Yes. Pathways College and UPI Study signed an articulation agreement in July 2025. Its Attachment A names 17 UPI Study courses and the Pathways course each becomes; other UPI Study courses not used for general education or your major count as elective credit, up to 48 credits. The Registrar reviews every transcript under Pathways' policies.

How many transfer credits can count toward a Pathways degree?

Up to 90 of the 120 credits in a bachelor's degree and up to 45 of the 60 in an associate degree, combined from all sources. 25% of the degree is completed at Pathways.

What is the difference between a named course and General Elective?

A named course (for example ENG101 Composition) means the UPI Study course transfers as that Pathways course. General Elective means it counts toward the 48 elective credits in a Pathways bachelor's degree instead of a specific course.

What grade do I need for a course to transfer?

Pathways' 2026-2027 catalog says students are generally granted credit for degree-level courses completed with a grade of C or better, and only when the credit applies to the chosen program.

How much does Pathways cost?

Pathways publishes tuition of $206 per credit with no registration fee (pathwayscollege.edu, checked 13 October 2026), and its website says textbooks are always free.

Can I ask for an exception?

Yes. Under the agreement, a student can ask the Office of the Registrar for an exception to the transfer provisions; it is reviewed with Pathways' Chief Academic Officer.

Business Communication, Business Ethics, Entrepreneurship, Financial Management, Foundations of Leadership, Globalization and International Management, Human Resources Management, International Business, Leading Organizational Change, Marketing Research, Principles of Finance and Principles of Management, among others. They still count toward your degree total, in its elective part.

How do UPI Study credits get to Pathways?

UPI Study sends them. When a course shows 100% complete, pay the $20 transcript on your Student Dashboard (www.upistudy.com/enrollments, "Get your transcript"). After you pay, the dashboard takes you straight to the transcript request, where you enter Pathways's transcript address, and UPI Study emails it to Pathways; you get a confirmation email (check spam too).
