Savings = credits × $206, Pathways' published tuition per credit (pathwayscollege.edu, 13 Oct 2026). Pathways' Registrar makes the final credit award.
Physics I is an introduction to the basic laws that describe how objects move and interact. It covers measurement, vectors, motion, forces, work, and energy, so you learn how to use math to explain everyday physical situations such as a falling object, a car speeding up, or a ball thrown through the air.
Physics I is a self-paced online course built around video lessons. Your grade combines quizzes (20%), assignments (30%), and a final exam (50%). When you complete the course, your transcript shows the credit that Pathways College recognizes as General Elective (Pathways), which counts toward total credit hours and elective requirements.
The course teaches you to set up a problem using measurements and vectors, then solve for motion, force, and energy. Those habits apply to technical work, to budgeting physical resources, and to any situation where you need to predict how something will move. At Pathways, the 3 credits fill elective space within programs such as the Associate degree or Bachelor of Arts, so the skills count toward a degree you are already working on.
After you finish the course, your transcript is sent to Pathways College, and the registrar applies the credit as General Elective (Pathways). This is an elective equivalency, so the 3 credits count toward your total credit hours and elective requirements but do not replace a named Pathways course. Pathways accepts up to 90 credits (75%) in transfer, so it is worth mapping this course against your remaining plan with an advisor before you enroll. Pathways is an active transfer partner of UPI Study, and that relationship is the basis for this recognition.
This course suits working adults who want to finish a degree, people moving into a technical field who need a quantitative foundation, and students trying to lower the total cost of their degree at $206 per credit. Because Pathways treats it as an elective equivalency rather than a named course, it is most useful if you still have open elective slots. It is not the right choice if you need a physics course that counts toward a specific major requirement at Pathways, and students already close to the 90-credit transfer limit should check remaining capacity first.
Pathways College signed an articulation agreement with UPI Study (July 2025): 17 named course equivalents, plus elective credit for other UPI Study courses not used for general education or the major, up to 48 credits.
Transfer credits are never guaranteed. Pathways College's Registrar reviews and grants transfer credit under Pathways' policies.
Enroll for $250 (or use a UPI Study subscription), finish in 28–30 days, and transfer 3 credits to Pathways College.
