UoPeople is tuition-free, but charges a $180 per-course assessment fee for undergraduate courses. Savings = transferred credits × $60 (the per-credit equivalent of UoPeople's $180 assessment fee for a 3-credit course). UoPeople credit awards subject to their evaluation policy.
Leading Organizational Change is the study of how leaders guide people, teams, and whole organizations through change. It looks at why change happens, how leadership styles affect the process, and how structures, communication, and power shape what people do when a business is trying to move in a new direction.
The course is fully online and self-paced, built around video lessons that cover how leaders move teams and organizations through change. Your grade is weighted 20% quizzes, 30% assignment, and 50% final exam, so the final exam carries the most weight. Once you pass, the completed course produces a transcript entry that UoPeople recognizes as its Leadership course equivalency.
The course teaches you to separate management work from leadership work and to apply leadership theories when a real change effort stalls, skills that carry over into supervisory, project, and operations roles. At UoPeople, the 3 credits land as Leadership, which can count toward an Associate of Science or Bachelor of Science degree plan. That means the coursework advances your degree while the skills show up in your day-to-day work.
After you finish, your transcript is sent to University of the People, where its team evaluates it and applies the course as Leadership. This is a named course equivalency tied to a specific catalog course code, the strongest form of transfer recognition UoPeople gives, so it fills a defined place in your degree plan for programs such as the Associate of Science or Bachelor of Science. You pay only a small per-course assessment fee, not tuition. Transfer credit is capped at 90 credits, or 75% of the degree, and this course counts toward that limit.
This course suits working adults who already handle some change at their jobs and want the reasoning behind it, as well as degree-finishers who need a Leadership credit to complete a UoPeople program. Cost-conscious students also benefit, since UoPeople charges no tuition and the transfer replaces coursework you would otherwise pay to complete. Because UoPeople caps transfer at 90 credits (75%), the course is most useful to students who have substantial prior credit and still need specific requirements. It is a poor fit for anyone who wants live instruction or who has no plan to earn a UoPeople degree.
University of the People is the world's first non-profit, tuition-free, WASC-accredited online university. Its team evaluates your transcript for you, and you only pay a small per-course assessment fee — no tuition.
Transfer credits are never guaranteed. Final credit awards are determined solely by the receiving university's registrar.
