Anatomy & Physiology
Lab II
Twelve labs covering cardiovascular through reproductive โ the second half of the A&P lab requirement.
What You'll Learn
A full semester of anatomy & physiology ii lab โ completed at your own pace, with no deadlines or fixed class times.
What You'll Be Able to Do
- Measure physiological variables โ including pulse, post-exercise recovery, respiratory rate, lung volume, capillary refill, and fluid balance โ on the human body using household and smartphone-based instruments, and document each measurement with raw photographic, video, or sensor evidence
- Identify and label the gross and surface anatomical structures of the cardiovascular, lymphatic, respiratory, digestive, urinary, and reproductive systems using guided virtual dissection and surface-anatomy observation
- Apply correct anatomical and physiological terminology to describe structures, processes, and experimental findings in written laboratory reports
- Analyze self-collected and provided physiological data โ relating measured values to underlying processes such as circulatory regulation, gas exchange, digestion, metabolism, and renal filtration
- Evaluate physiological outcomes against expected normal ranges, distinguishing normal from altered states and accounting for measurement variability and sources of error
- Construct formal scientific laboratory reports that state objectives, describe methods, present and interpret data, discuss error, and draw evidence-based conclusions
