One course, two uses

Count It for High School.
Use It for College.

You choose the courses on your child's high-school transcript (or your cover school records them). A UPI Study course can count toward graduation now and later be sent to a college for credit.

Dual enrollment, at home
No class times and no semester dates. Your child studies at home, at their own pace, alongside the rest of their homeschool week.
Counts toward graduation
You decide which courses go on the high-school transcript, or your cover school records them. Grading you can see: 25% attendance, 25% quizzes, 25% assignments, 25% a proctored final.
College credit later
Every course carries an NCCRS credit recommendation, and 22 also carry ACE credit recommendations. When your child is ready, an official transcript costs $20.
Will colleges accept the credits? ACE and NCCRS have over 2,100 cooperating colleges that will consider accepting credits; the final decision is with the universities. Ask the colleges your child is considering how they treat ACE and NCCRS credit recommendations.

Plain answers about cost, credit and how to pay. Something else? Email team@upistudy.com, or ask Athena, our assistant, in the corner of this page.

Can homeschoolers earn college credit with UPI Study?
Yes. UPI Study's self-paced online courses carry NCCRS credit recommendations, and 22 also carry ACE credit recommendations. A homeschooled student takes them at home, then requests an official transcript ($20) to send to colleges. ACE and NCCRS have over 2,100 cooperating colleges that will consider accepting credits; the final decision is with the universities.
Can my child count these courses on their homeschool transcript?
You choose the courses on your child's high-school transcript (or your cover school records them). A UPI Study course can count toward graduation now and later be sent to a college for credit.
Why Lifetime instead of paying per course?
Outside the EFA programs, a single course is $250. Lifetime is $599 once for every course with no deadlines, so it costs less than three single courses and your child can spread the work across the high-school years without rushing.
We live in an EFA or ESA state. How do we pay with it?
UPI Study is an approved vendor in Utah, Wyoming, Arizona, Arkansas, Alabama and New Hampshire. Families there pay from their account through Odyssey (Utah, Wyoming) or ClassWallet (Arizona, Arkansas, Alabama, New Hampshire): one $250 payment covers every current course. In Utah and Wyoming, SAT and ACT prep is optional, for $50. Each state's page explains the steps.
How soon does my child get access?
Lifetime: right after checkout. Education account: within one business day after Odyssey or ClassWallet pays UPI Study.
What if we move to another state?
Access you have already paid for stays. A new state's education account can be used only where UPI Study is an approved vendor.
Will colleges accept the credits?
ACE and NCCRS have over 2,100 cooperating colleges that will consider accepting credits; the final decision is with the universities. Ask the colleges your child is considering how they treat ACE and NCCRS credit recommendations.
Can high-school students enroll?
Yes. High-school students can enroll, and there are no deadlines, so a student can take one course at a time alongside their other homeschool work.
Can my child pause?
Yes. There are no deadlines and no penalties for pausing.
How much is the transcript?
$20 for an official transcript, when your child is ready to send credits to a college.
